Picked up Eminem's lastest on Wednesday and have been listening to it. I must say I'm ambivalent about it. It's the first Eminem album to not have me skip tracks because they are too gross or overly stupid. Also all the beats are good on all the tracks. "Beautiful" is a simply amazing track. That alone is enough to keep me happy that he came out of retirement. "Crazy" was very entertaining. The opening lyric of "I was born with a dick in my brain. Yeah, my mind's fucked" screams Whitey's theme song to me.
However, the lyrics feel repetitive on quite a few songs. You can only say "Valium" so many times (feels as if it was mentioned on every song). Rapping about drugs, rape and murder work well, but it is possible to overuse them.
I rate this one to be around the level of the Slim Shady LP, which is good enough to duke it out for 3rd (The Eminem Show and The Marshall Mathers LP are 1 and 2 (their rankings flip-flop from time-to-time, though this order is how I usually have them)).

I do like "Crack A Bottle" Though.....mostly cause Andre the Giant is in the opening line lol

"We Made You" was a bad choice for a single. "Beautiful" will become a single. Since "Mockingbird" was hugely successful, they will try to cash in with "Beautiful."
