Because when you have the championship, especially in your banner, you represent the entire board. New members look at your stuff as soon as they sign up for the board. If you're tooling off and acting stupid, no one will ever take it seriously. That is half the battle of being a champion in an e-fed (And that rule of thumb is almost ten years old), you represent the entire board and it's you everyone looks at.

In the long line of BWA, CWA, and AWA champions, I don't think one person that comes to mind ever has said the things you say, or the randomness of which they appear on their championship holder account. There's a long list of names, and I'd have to say all of them carried themselves maturely, and responsibility and accepted what that role meant more than being able to put something in your sig.

And this would be what I'm talking about. If you want to be a tool because that's who you are, make another account or something. Leave your OOC talk off of your championship account. It's embarrassing for the champion to be talking to another member of the forum like that, and being associated as champion. It's an actual formal cordial thing that shouldn't be dismissed as nothing when you assume the role as the champion.

I can see what Kokaine is saying (sorry, I dont know your real name yet) being new and all, I can see how that would deter people from a site. Not to many people care, but some take offense to it. Like the queer talk. I think it's one thing IC. But OOC is completely different. I'm not trying to suck up. Just adding two cents in as a new member. Other than that, I don't much care, cause I'm pretty laid back. I just know LOTS of people who have left feds because management and or high ups have been immature. I always hated Croc...nothing that could be done there. So, most of the time we just embraced the hate and when we couldn't, we ignored each other on the boards and used the hate to fuel some of the best damn fueds I've EVER been in!
