New US Champ!!!
Fuck yes!!!
Vince has a lot invested in this guy... IC Champ, US Champ, Tag Champ... Maybe Heavyweight Champion some day?
I love how they had MVP hand him the title... really classy move, keeps MVP a face. Considering how MVP confronted Orton when he first came to RAW, this might be the way to transition MVP to go up to the main event? One can hope...

Haven't watched RAW, yet, but this sounds good. MVP's ready to move up, and Kofi can have some great matches against a slew of good challengers. Let's hope the title gets some respect.

Vince don't really like blacks so I don't see him putting the strap on MVP or Kofi EVER! NAME ONE BLACK WORLD CHAMPION IN THE WWF(E). Don't worry..... I'll wait. ROCK DON'T COUNT HE'S NOT 100% BLACK

Bobby Lashley (even though he was the ECW Champion, he was still one of the brands world champions)
Aaaaand, MVP was the best thing for the US/IC division that we've seen in a very, VERY long time. I hope Kofi can live up to those standards. Kofi is great, but MVP is great, and really good on the microphone.

How was Benoit winning the Rumble a mistake? Did we all know he was going to snap and be a monster? Back then he was arguably the best worker in the company (toss up between him and Angle. Depended on what you liked. Old school went for Benoit. New school/MMA fans preferred Angle) and was due to win the World Title.
It's easy to judge knowing what we know now. Back in 2004 we were all blissfully ignorant of the horror about to unfold.

So now that we brought Benoit into thios discussion do you see him ever getting into ANY hall of fame. (PWI, which is the true hall of fame, or WWE)

Sadly, no. I'm in the minority of people who still admire Benoit the wrestler AND Benoit the man; the monster who committed these acts was not Chris Benoit.
Unfortunately, his acts were likely the result of all the headbutts and concussions he took over the years; while steroids may have played a part, his autopsy showed that his brain was in the state of an 80-year-old man.
When a mentally unstable person commits a horrible act like this, the blame can only lie on the illness. I think the person deserves pity- they are not in control of their actions. From Columbine to Charles Manson to Benoit... it all comes back to being mentally fucked. They are victims in their own way. (I'm sure others here will disagree with me on this argument... I've had this debate many times before. I'll defend it with passion, but I'd rather not).
But it doesn't matter. The murders were a dark mark on wrestling history. Any sort of praise for Benoit on a professional level will be seen in disgust by the pubic at large, who would be largely ignorant of what happened.

on a side note.... Benoit was a grown man with injuries that effected his brain and thoughts.
Don't ever mention Columbine like that. If the parents knew what the fuck the kids were into and involved with....they could have tried to raise them a little better and it might not have happened.
It's like, an hour from where I live, two teens killed an old man based on lyrics from an ICP song. They blame ICP.... I blame the parents for not instilling true morals into their child and teach them that music might convey feelings of some people but, others just want to have their own image at any means necessary. I listen to ICP and have for 10 years.... My parents raise me right and I never even thought of doing something like that.
Face it Matt, when teens do things like this, I blame the parents for not taking an active role in raising them and making sure they are actual human beings..... They are the kind of kids that this goes on:
Mom: "Jesse, I really don't think you should listen to that music. But, I know I can't stop you. Just don't be influenced by the stuff they are saying."
Jesse: "Fuck you mom! I'll do whatever I fucking want and you won't ever be able to keep me from doing anything."
Mom: (sighs) (Under breath) "I wish I would have done better when he was a child."
