Really, Vince???
Umaga was one of the few bigger wrestlers who could actually wrestle...

Punk must have obliterated him at Extreme Rules.

I know Umaga had a Wellness violation on his record... I really hope this isn't the case...
But then again, maybe I do... I dunno. I just hope he deserved the firing. It didn't look like a case of Kennedy; I haven't heard any reports of an injury or near-injury from his bout with Punk. If it was steroids or drugs, and he was on his last strike, then fine...
Basically- if there was a bullshit reason for firing him, then I'm gonna be pissed! If he deserved to get fired... I'll just hope that he can clean up his act (be it drugs or attitude or otherwise) and we'll hopefully see him again sometime.

When Umaga started, I wasn't keen on him. But, he did well with the character as time went by.
Steroids? he doesn't look the type to use steroids. Then again, he's a big 'thick' guy. he's not fat but he's not super muscle built. I would have loved to see him take out the Big Show in a big PPV match. I also liked his matches with Punk.
If he was unjustly released, then Vince is a bit of a fool. I was never a huge fan of Umaga but, he did it very well! You don't have 'beasts' anymore and, he was a samoan beast that would almost kill anyone with sheer force and impact

I heard today that he was released because there were a lot of complaints from fans. I heard he kept spitting at fans who were booing him. (no joke)....I heard there were A LOT of complaints about this happening. Who knows how true the story is....I heard it on the radio.

he is a wild animal...so he should spit!
damn this, Umaga had developed into a great worker, a big guy who with the right person could have an awesome match.
hell, Umaga and Cena even had some above standard battles.
if he fucked up, then it is his fault.
but i have to say ill miss the guy

From WWE.com:
"As reported on WWE.com on Monday, June 8, 2009, WWE Superstar Umaga (Edward Fatu) has been released from his World Wrestling Entertainment contract.
However, consistent with the practice of announcing wellness policy violations, it should be noted that Umaga's termination was due to his second violation of the WWE Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility."
So, he deserved it, sadly.
Hopefully he can get clean... and stay clean... and then get hired back. Seems very similar to Jeff Hardy's firing back in the day...
Are steroids even addictive? Jeff was fired for meth, so rehab makes sense... I'm guessing Umaga was doing something other than steroids... painkillers, maybe?

Ok.... Then they should have let go of Randy Orton when he was busted for having some green on him.

There is a world of difference between a "little green" and meth.

Then your being knit picky when it comes to what drug is "ok".

WWE just fines the hell out of pot users; harder drugs have more serious punishments.
Hell, that's pretty much the same for any law enforcement agency. Weed won't get you in nearly as much trouble as meth or cocaine.

In NY, if you get caught with weed, and it's your first time, you'll get a little slap on the wrist (a fine, if anything)....Meth or Coke, you're going to jail....if you've got pills of some kind, you could get up to 7 years in jail....PER PILL! Thats why a kid I know swallowed 10 Loritabs when getting pulled over a couple years ago. He didn't care if he got a driving under the influence....he just didn't want to get busted with the pills because they're harder on ya when you've got heavy shit. The kid got a DUI and a possession of weed ticket....
I don't smoke pot....quit that shit a LONG time ago....but, I've got friends that do smoke, and to me, it's not that big a deal....I'd much rather have someone smoke pot than be hooked on Meth/Coke/Pills....I've seen harder drugs destroy friends of mine.
