I don't like to post spoilers so, I'll leave Smackdown talk alone for now.....
But, it seems to be unanimous decision amongst tons of fans that they will give Regal the ECW Championship next week while they are live in England. And I'm fine with that but, everyone thinks they will move Christian to Smackdown or RAW
And while I'd love to see him flourish on one of the main shows, ECW can't take another big loss. First Swagger, then Drew and now Sheamus. ECW is hurting and suffering right now. When your main eventers are Kozlov and 'oldies' like Regal and Goldust, then you can't really flourish to well.
While I'm complaining, I'm tired of ECW getting absolutley NO time on the PPVs.
And after last night, I can't help but think ECW is made up of guys they like but won't push on RAW that Vince wants to do nothing but put over some new names.
I dunno.....I don't care for ECW. They have 6 guys and more than half of them have been in the WWE since 2003 or longer.
Christian started in 1999 Regal in 1998 Goldust in 1996 Shelton in 2003
BLAH to Vince!

Here's the thing with ECW....
Everytime someone gets even a little popular, they shove them off to another brand. Personally, I think ECW should still have Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, and Drew. I definitely think Christian Cage should move to Smackdown. They need a solid face over there, and lets be honest, the peeps LOVE Christian Cage (still refuse to go back to just calling him Christian)....Back when Punk left, and Morrison left, and Miz left, and Kofi left, I thought it would be Jack Swaggers time to tear it up on ECW. He could have kept the title for a long ass time, being THE man on the show that none of the younger talent could defeat. However, they then shipped him and Bourne off to Raw and ruined that. ECW has some decent talent, but they're like the Pittsburg Pirates....everytime anyone looks promising, they ship them off somewheres else. LAME!
Also, think about this for a second....Shelton Benjamin is the generations Chris Benoit. Benjamin is non stop talked about, ON AIR, about being the greatest in ring performer the WWE has....yet he gets shipped around non stop and doesn't get a solid run....when will the WWE realize what they have with him and give him a serious chance. When they switched his gimmick to The Gold Standard, they had a chance to really let him shine....hopefully before his career is over, he'll get a solid chance.

agreed with Timbo on all counts.
Definately with Benjamin...why continue to call him the best pound for pound athlete in the WWE, and not do anything with him...they fucking make me sick. Fans are meant to get behind what is said about Benjamin and then see him go absolutely nowhere?
I got to say i am glad Kingston moved on, but i do think that done correctly, The Miz & Swagger could still be on ECW and still be growing as performers. ECW has really gone too far in being a 'starting ground'. Yes it is used for that, but they are shipping guys out way to soon. ECW has had, and still has some amazing guys and the show could be 'must see TV'.
Regal is getting on, but still is one of the greatest heels the WWE has.

I love this version of Regal. He's a badass heel, and he plays it perfectly. I also agree with you Luke about ECW could be the "must see" show. It's had the talent over the past two years. I agree that Kofi has done well for himself, and doesn't need ECW to grow. He's doing just fine on his own....but Evan Bourne....a guy who is phenominal in the ring, and he's getting buried on Raw....he started to become SUPER popular on ECW, and then, WAY before he was ready, he was shipped to Raw. Same with Jack Swagger. Is he doing well? Sure, he's doing ok....but he should be one of the main heels on ECW. Hopefully they'll take this next year and really build up ECW. Then, when Bragging Rights comes up next year, they'll have actual credable wrestlers.
Imagine if ECW had kept some of their talent. Team ECW could have been Christian Cage, Jack Swagger, William Regal, Sheamus, Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne, and Zack Ryder....those seven could have been badass. Christian Cage leading team ECW....man, it would have been awesome!
ECW: Christian Cage, Jack Swagger, William Regal, Sheamus, Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne, and Zack Ryder vs. Smackdown: (the team I think it should have been) Chris Jericho, Kane, Batista, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler, and Matt Hardy - (of course, it would have been Taker vs. Punk for the title) vs. Raw: (team I think it should have been) HHH, HBK, Kofi, The Miz, The Big Show, Ted and Cody
Right there....badass brand vs. brand vs. brand....maybe added one more person to each brand and make it eight man teams....but add another ring. Two side by side rings like the old WCW days. Could have been awesome. Why oh why won't Vince let LuMmy take over for a year. We'd totally rule!

I read today that they might be a tri-brand SS match.
Each team has Two Raw, Two Smackdown, and ONE ECW guy.
What pisses me off about that is 90% of the RAW and Smackdown guys should still be kicking ass and being top dogs on an awesome ECW brand (i.e. Miz, Swagger, Bourne)

As long as Shelton's personal life doesn't follow suit in regard to Benoit, that's all I truly care about.
What's needed is a tri-brand trade:
RAW gets: Great Khali (I don't really care who RAW gets)
SmackDown gets: Christian (with face Edge coming back, could we see face E&C?)
ECW gets: Evan Bourne
That small trade could set things up nicely on the blue brand and ECW.
