Ok, so on paper this to me looks like a decent WWE PPV. However there are sore points, such as leaving CM Punk & Matt Hardy off of a PPV that is about Tables, Ladders and Chairs.
CM Punk is the only 2 time MITB winner and he is not on a PPV like this? Stupid. He could have at least been involved. I say they should have put CM Punk & Gallows into the UNIFIED TAG TEAM match. Would have spiced it up and given Gallows a chance to perform.
Matt Hardy is a TLC legend. Unfortunately Matt Hardy is not going to reach main event heights on SD or RAW. He should be on ECW where he can shine, and he should have been put into the ECW title match. Cage Vs Benjamin Vs Hardy in a Ladder match? Sweet.
Anyway...ill get onto talking about the booked matches that i know of.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Batista (Chair Match)
BLAH. I like Batistas new role and think the character is coming along well, however i see this as predicatble. Can the Undertaker take a beating week after week and still loss the belt? Whilst they are pushing Batista, will they do it at the expence of the Takers title reign? These 2 put on an unexpectedly good matches when they feuded before so im hoping that the match will at least be decent.
WINNER - STILL WORLD CHAMPION - THE UNDERTAKER
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sheamus (Tables Match)
Im pleased to see this. Anyone who isn't needs to shut up because Cena Vs Sheamus might not be a HUGE match but it is a fresh match. Cena Vs HHH, Vs Orton has been done to death and this is different...its what most fans have been asking for for ages. So well done WWE.
If they want Sheamus to be 'made' in this match then he needs to look dominant, which i believe he will, his booking so far suggests that. I can not see Cena squashing him like he did The Miz. However Cena needs to retain the belt. Sheamus could be big, he could be a big main event heel for the WWE but they need to look at what was done with Lesner and follow that. Lesner got the belt quickly in the grand scheme of things, but he was built up before hand. Oh, and as a heel he needs a heel manager. Bring Ventura in and push this guy!
I thought maybe they would give Sheamus the win because putting Cena through a table is not as huge as pinning him or making him submit. However, im hoping it will go the other way because Cena putting Sheamus through a table does not make Sheamus look weak. Infact, the idea of winning because you dumped someone through a table is shit.
WINNER - STILL WWE CHAMPION - JOHN CENA
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre
Really looking forward to seeing this. Basically because it is an IC title match and it is on PPV. Right now the WWE is doing a far better job with both the IC and US belts than it has in a long time.
McIntyre is good and i see potential. However i do not think he should take the belt on this occasion. I would rather they have a 3rd match (they fought in a great match on SD which he won, non title). The score would be 1-1 with McIntyre taking the belt in the rubber match.
These 2 should put on a great match at TLC.
After dropping the belt i would have Morrison move onto a decent lower main event feud with someone like Jericho or Batista, he needs a big feud with a big star before jumping into the World title mix.
WINNER - STILL IC CHAMPION - JOHN MORRISON
Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton
Another match i have been looking forward to. WWE is getting things right a good amount at the moment, and this is one of them. Orton has played is perfectly and is worthy of praise for the way he has helped to elevate Kingston in a short space of time. And Kingston has stepped up and isshowing his potential. What i would like to see is a clean PPV win for Kingston. It will not hurt Orton and would stamp Kingstons authority all over the upper mid / lower main event scene.
WINNER - KOFI KINGSTON
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. D-Generation X (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)
If not for the potential thrilling spots between Jericho and HBK i would not really care about this. Oh, and i also love Shows 'Knock the Fuck Out' punch.
Anyway, WWE logic would suggest this is DX's night as they were left laying in the final encounter before the PPV.
At this stage i do not really care, DX is not going anywhere at the moment so i guess it is only a matter of time before they end up on both shows (ECW does not appear to count) .
I do not care anymore.
WINNERS - NEW UNIFIED CHAMPIONS - DX
ECW Champion Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin (Ladder Match)THE 1 MATCH THAT HAS MADE BE DECIDE I AM WATCHING THIS PPV.
However, if i tune in and this is the first match and they are given less than 10 minutes i will not watch the rest of the show.
This match could easily be the match of the night, Benjamin is an amazing athlete and Cage can tell a great story in the ring. With the Ladder involved it means we are in for a treat.
This could be Cages chance to drop the belt in awesome fashion and then wait it out until he gets moved on to (hopefully) SD. Benjamin deserves this match and deserves to at least hold a top spot on ECW. I really think Hardy should be moved back as a heel to go against him.
I really hope this match is given at least 15 minutes and i really hope both men bring their A game and show the WWE just how untapped both their potentials are right now.
WINNER - NEW ECW CHAMPION - SHELTON BENJAMIN
