Just because we Americans don't use the metric system doesn't mean you can trick us into thinking 10 cm is big.

Back on subject, I find that Bird may giving too much personal information at the outset. I find that disclosure becomes more valuable once your character becomes ingrained in the fed. If you have used this character for a while, I understand the desire to get everyone up to speed on him, but you almost get a chance to revise his history (almost a retcon, if you will). Any new character I use (be it the two wrestlers I have used or various side characters I have brought in) is brought in simply until he/she is an accepted part of the fed, then he/she grows. I've always been a huge proponent of character growth, and you definitely seem to have that ability.
To sum it all up, interesting character (most of us enjoy narcissists as they are just very fun). If you can get a lot of material out of him AND keep him true to himself, you could have someone special.

AJ, I understand where you're coming from and thank you for the feedback. My tack is this: Lucius Bird is a new character, and I'm wanting to establish some momentum/rhythm with him. Plus others, like Leland, are getting some material to work with through me painting a clearer picture. Because it's a new character, he has no e-fedding history; that void needs to be filled somehow. And yeah, I'm not big on doing things by halves. I imagine it would be quite annoying trying to churn out material against some new guy you know nothing about, because they haven't offered up any read meat. That frustrates established guys and hurts the product. It wouldn't be fair either, especially looking ahead to the aptly-named New Beginnings. i really want to call you out for a feud! In an OOC way, you just did. Could be some interesting possibilities as the PPV draws nearer.

There's nothing wrong with some information outside the basics and as long as Bird transitions to interacting more and more with those in AWA, I think it'll be fine. I just didn't want you to waste an amazing character revelation in the early part that really could have shocked everyone once they got invested in Bird.
Of course, I hardly ever play serious characters, so don't let my word be the end all of this discussion. The two characters I have played have shown serious sides, but their premises are light and fun. AJ's an egotistical goody two-shoes who always thinks everyone loves him (even when he's a heel, in fact, that's how he started out), has an unusual grip on reality (I account it to him accepting the weirdness that is professional wrestling), yet is serious about competition and his image. In the end I just can't be serious a majority of the time (though my few romantic angles were the toast of the fed at their times). There's hardly ever an allegory in my writing. It's the story of an odd man with elements of absurdism.
I guess what draws us here is that any character and any storytelling device can be successful.
