I thought the show was awesome. I'll point out the negatives....no Daniels, no Eric Young, no X-Division match of any sort.
The good parts though, almost made you forget about the fact that there was any bad....Four team tag team match was pretty awesome. They're totally giving the belts back to Beer Money, which is awesome. I'm glad Morgan and Hernandez are going to break up. They should. They're both singles competitors at this point in their career. Why they made these two team up together is beyond me. I think against one another, these two could have an awesome feud. I would love to see Hernandez win and get a shot at AJ. I feel like those two could have an awesome match because they're both good in the ring, and I think AJ w/ Flair vs. Hernandez would be entertaining for sure.
The main event was for the TNA World Heavyweight title....AJ vs. Pope vs. Wolfe vs. Abyss in a four corners match. That was pretty good. Could have been better, but it did it's job. Added feul to the AJ/Pope feud, added heat between AJ/Abyss and added two other things....Wolfe and Chelsea(what a stupid name ) vs. Abyss....and it seems as if Wolfe might team up with AJ and Flair....I could see it.
Speaking of Wolfe....his segment backstage was incredible. He's getting SO good on the microphone.
Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky is shaping up to be one of the greatest TNA Knock Outs feud ever....I love this violence that they both keep bringing....Love had huge welts on her back after Sky attacked her with the belt....that was awesome. You can tell these two girls want to impress TNA brass so bad that they'll really give it their all. It was fun to watch. Nothing watered down. It seemed like they were really trying to hurt one another....good stuff!
Kurt Angle vs. Ken Anderson has been entertaining. The part that I don't like about this is that Angle isn't saying much. Anderson comes out and runs his mouth about Angle....Angle comes out, they fight. Angle is very good on the mic, and should really think about using those skills. Other than that, the feuds pretty solid. These two are both great talents. They're going to have a great feud, just because it's who they are.
Kevin Nash and Eric Young are going to speak about "The Band" on Monday night. That means you know Hall and Pac will be there. I think I've stated this before.....in the beginning, I hated any ideas of them being in TNA....so far, the way they're using this storyline is ALRIGHT with me. They're not shoving them down our throats and they're not making them the main storyline in TNA....I like that. Have they closed out the show with something happening with them, yeah, but it's ok....I'm actually liking this Kevin Nash and Eric Young vs. The Band thing....I'm just waiting for something huge to happen with this. Not sure what it will be....but you know they're going to add something else.
I was also not excited about Jeff Jarrett being an active wrestler, just because we've seen how things have been in the past....however, I really like this angle with Bischoff and Jarrett. Jarrett had the power. Bichoff does now....Jarrett keeps doing whatever is asked because he cares about TNA....the jobs keep getting worse....Bischoff trying to make Jarrett snap....and, it's not the main storyline....good stuff. I'm glad they see that Jeff isn't THE MAIN MAN around TNA anymore. He can still add something special to the show without being THE SHOW....again, good call on their part.
Monday night, I'm not too excited about Hogan and Flair getting in the ring again. I feel like the match is going to be so slow. I also worry about Hogan. The fact is, he can't move very well at all. His legs are shot. You know they're going to air this match in the main event, to go up against Vince McMahon vs. John Cena....it's funny how Hogan and McMahon are both in the ring on the same night....
I'm sure the Monday night wars are going to be insane....I am excited to see what happens....both companies are going to have to step it up a level which is good. I think it could be great for wrestling in general....watching Hogan use the barb wire baseball bat on Flair was pretty cool. Flair was completely covered in his own blood. Thats one thing that TNA has that WWE doesn't....they allow all the bleeding and swearing....they've got that attitude feeling about them while the WWE is PG....having blood and that attitude feeling really gives TNA an advantage ya know. Anyways, I'm excited to see what happens Monday night.
