(One on One)
"The Bird" Lucius Bird
vs.
Brandon "The Slayer" Morgan
High hopes had been given to ‘The Slayer’. A man with a solid and impressive past he had be talked of as a real contender. Unfortunately things have not turned out quite so well for Morgan.
Lucias Bird was out to prove a point and he did that. He countered everything Morgan had on this night and was set to take the win until the Undisputed World Champion and the AWA Hardcore Champion showed up.
With MJ going straight after Bird, and Lucas directing his anger at Morgan it was not long until this match turned into a brawl.
MJ Windsor and Lucias Birds interaction did not last long as Birds loyal employees made their presence known. With Lucas involved with Morgan, MJ decided to leave Bird alone.
The New Connection then turned their attention to ‘The Slayer’. What followed was a brutal assault on 1 half of the team they are set to face at Grudgement Day with the Tag Titles on the line.
This attack brought out the other half of the title contenders, Slam II. Swinging a steel chair with no regard for who it hit, the New Connection quickly made their way out of the ring.
MJ Windsor then announced that it had been decided that Brandon Morgan was not deserving of a tag title opportunity, and therefore had been removed from the PPV match. Slam II’s new replacement would in fact be none other than Slam Senior!!! Slam Senior made his way out in reaction to this announcement.
MJ and Lucas both seemed very pleased with this, clearly assuming that Slam Senior was of no threat to them!
The match was classed as a NO CONTEST
(One on One Hardcore Match)
Special Guest Referee: James Lucas
"The Virus" Gregory "Ripper" Kennedy
vs.
Slam II w/ David Slam Sr.
With Slam II already in the ring, and the special ref James Lucas standing at ringside, the only arrival required was that of The Virus.
Sporting his badge of authority, Ripper looked extremely confident as the match got underway.
It did not take long for the action to become brutal, all manner or objects were brought into play as weapons, however the match came to a halt when Ripper grabbed Lucas’s Hardcore title belt from ringside and cracked it into Slam II’s head. Suddenly the champion called for the bell. Giving directions to the ring announcer the AWA fans were told that whilst this was fought under hardcore rules, the Hardcore title belt was the property of Mr James Lucas and permission had not been granted for its use as a weapon. Therefore Mr James Lucas was left with no choice but to DQ Ripper.
Lucas’s feeling of one-upmanship was short lived as Ripper was still holding the belt and quickly made use of it again, this time nailing the belts owner across the head.
With the fans going wild, Ripper decided to leave the ring and possibly the arena with the Hardcore title in his possession!!!
SLAM II DEFEATS RIPPER via DQ
(Main Event)
AWA UNDISPUTED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
"The Ego" MJ Windsor(c) w/ Angela Jordan and Khris Heaven
vs.
"The Role Model" Anthony Jordan
Before the match started, Mr Draven announced that it would be a 30 minute Iron Man Match, meaning a limitless number of falls/decisions could be made within the 30 minutes, the man with the most would be declared the winner. However it would go to over time if the score was tied!
Inside the first 15 minutes both men managed to score pinfalls over each other. The score remained even until the final 20 seconds when a somewhat desperate MJ Windsor, not wanting overt time added, hit a low blow, followed by an Ego Trip and scored the winning fall.
After the match, Angela Jordan got inside the ring to flaunt her love for her fiancé MJ Windsor directly in front of her brother. Before things could progress the lights went down, and when they came back up Windsor and Angela were on the outside of the ring looking in at Lucias Bird who was standing over a fallen Anthony Jordan.
With Grudgement Day just 2 weeks away all 3 of these men are looking to build momentum. Right now Lucias Bird looks to be leading the pack!
MJ Windsor RETAINED THE AWA CHAMPIONSHIP over ANTHONY JORDAN via PINFAL.
