I saw this minutes after The Blue Meanie updated his myspace status. I was sad. I was a big fan of Kanyon. To steal a line from DDP, he was a real mechanic in the ring. Innovator of Offense doesn't even sum it up. He made some of the best moves I've seen.
he'd take you from a fireman's carry and flip you into some crazy shit that no one ever saw before. He deserved to be WCW World Champion for years. He was great as Mortis and even better as Kanyon. Who Bedda Than Kanyon?! NOBODY!
And I was just dying (no pun) for a kid to piss me off at the rink that night. I was going to hit a flatliner. I actually struck up a convo with Jake on msn just cause he has the Flatliner as one of signature moves. Kanyonw was hugely under used and Fuck Vince for not giving him a chance to shine. Vince hated the WCW guys that came with the Invasion.
What is even sadder is that two of the three Triad members are now gone. First Bam Bam, now Kanyon.....I hope DDP is around for a looooong time. Ready to Rumble was such a great movie (I don't know how or why) Kanyon was 'Jimmy King's' stunt double and it turned the DDP/Kanyon fued into something great shortly there after.
Remember, 'Positively Kanyon' his gimmick after DDP's book 'Positvely Page' came out? Kanyon wanted to be DDP.....Christ, we all remember him going off the three tier cell and through the stage. That was as crazy as Foley off the HIAC in 1998....but will sadly NEVER be remembered the same way. Kanyon took some crazy bumps too.
Alliance MVP anyone? How about Wrestling MVP! He could have been a GREAT world champion. Kanyon vs Edge for the World Title? Could have been epic. Thanks for banishing him cause he was Gay Vince.....
But Chuck and Billy were Ok..... pffff
