And no, im not talking about the painful state of Seans backside after AJ visits him.
Im talking about WWE Raw, live in the UK yesterday evening.
Good Points:
The MIZ
This guy is on fire, his heel character is something else and i just wish they were pushing his US title reign better, that division could be something great with him at the top if only they bothered with it.
Anyway, here are some AWESOME lines from the Miz, directed at Bret Hart
"I guess David Hasselhoff isn't the only 90s icon who is completely delusional.
"If we were in your era I'd put a Sharpshooter on you faster than you can put a pair of cheap sunglasses on an ugly kid."
They are right up there with the post WM run in with Hart when he told Hart "dont laugh...im awesome"
This is classic Mr Perfect/Rick Rude over arrogant heels who 100% believes their own hype and whilst the fans join in the Im Awesome line, he is still a heel and thats great.
Hornswoggle
I as concerned as you are, but yeah i did it...im rating that little bastard this week because however much i hate him taking up time from others who deserve it...watching him run down the ramp in slow motion with the lifeguard gear and safety thing was without doubt a funny moment.
Batista
Perfect in his heel role, finally being given credit by the critics and well deserved it is too. I hear he is taking time out soon for a movie or something, that sucks because he is on a role. Even if he did steal MJs 'spotlight' craving attitude and MJs 'spotlight' ring entrance.
The Hoff
Was one of the more passable guest hosts. Still looked fake when trying to act like he knew the product, but he was fine at delivering his lines and the crowd seemed to be into him. Oh, and he had Kit so there!
BAD POINTS
Bret Hart
I hate to say it but one of my favourites of all time just does not seem to have it anymore, obviously i do not mean regards wrestling ability, we know thats over, but his mic work is pretty damn lame and he seems nervous still which sucks. Bret was never the very best or most entertaining on the mic, but he was good. I dont like seeing him like this.
The Miz looked like he was leading the 'vet' in their segment.
Divas title match
The one who was the champion, she is hot but can not remember her name (i hear the Miz is with her, that guy is living a good life right now) lost the belt to someone else, someone totaly rubbish in the ring.
This was a UK show, they should have given Katie Lea Burchill a 2 minute promo before the match and had the UK female win the match for the big pop. The Divas belt is worthless so it is not like much planning would have been required.
Divas Baywatch match
damn the PG...these women were almost covered head to toe. i miss the attitude era. Bring back Sables painted on hand print bra!
Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler
All the commentary sucks in the WWE, but these 2 really get me. I wish JBL was back behind the desk.
Lawler acting like Evan Bourne was on a 'roll' recently and especially after beating Carlito...come on, this is just too damn insulting.
i do not even remember what else happened on the show, i think Cena made David 'A List' whatever his name tap out, never saw that coming when the match was booked!
