Pedo-Cunt's mom is, by far, the best.
By which I mean, in the sack.
And they say the same about MT-AJ.

No one really believes that Pedo-Cunt can stand before our combined might. Lummy sounds like an unpopular card game or terrible, alcoholic beverage. BTW, picked up 21st Century Breakdown. It was okay on the first listen, but for the life of me, I cannot pick up on the story it's supposed to be telling. I need to pick up American Idiot as I have reason to believe I'll like it better.

Q103 Albany's FREAKIN rock station "now go rock yourself" decided that Friday was "Green Day" since the new album came out, and from 10am - 3pm, they'd play regular music, but also play the entire 21st Century CD....they played track one at 10am, and at 3pm, played the last track....so, I pretty much listened to the entire thing over the radio, and I loved it....I need to get it.

In the punk genre and sub-genres, Green Day isn't my favorite, so maybe that's why I'm not immediately loving the album.

Got a free copy of the new Green Day at an "alternative" club night, along with a couple of other releases. Better than American Idiot, but it solidifies the fact they're not even close to being a punk band anymore. Unless of course you're one of those people who call My Chemical Romance or Metro Station punk, hahaha.
The best albums released in 2009 (so far) are: Bat for Lashes - Two Suns Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion Isis - Wavering Radiant Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career Yuksek - Away From The Sea Silversun Pickups - Swoon

I never even thought to call My Chemical Romance or Metro Station "punk." I really like the former and a little of the latter, but they're not punk. Nothing wrong with that, but that isn't their label.

This album isn't really a concept album... it's just a common thread. The "characters" just different attitudes, and the three acts are just about a common theme. There's no real storyline to it.
And I personally think it's great that Green Day hasn't stayed in the limitations of "punk." I think their core is still punk, but to stay in that label is limiting. There's shades of The Who, Springsteen, Rolling Stones, and The Beatles in this. Their ballads aren't nearly as strong as their pure rock songs (in fact, I think "Good Riddance" is their only great ballad- it's as simple as it is powerful). But the ballads on 21st Century Breakdown are much, MUCH better than American Idiot. Granted, those ballads were overplayed like crazy, so maybe I just like the new ones because they're more fresh... but ultimately, I'm pleased ATM.

All good bands grow, experiment with their sound and challenge themselves. Who really wants Green Day to release the same album every time? What's the point?
