Alright, Luke sent everyone a PM about the wrestling site and about not helping run this place anymore. To be honest with you all, I feel exactly the same way. I've been feeling this way for a long time though. This place has been slowly fading away for quite some time now. I even posted something before about closing the doors and people told me they didn't want me to and that things would pick up....well, things did not pick up all that much. At most, we had what, six people RPing? I found myself, when trying to come up with an Anarchy card, saying "fuck, that match has already happened.....fuck, this match has already happened", and so on....it's the same shit every week....and thats no one's fault....there just isn't much activity around here....it happens....does it suck? Absolutely it does....but it is what it is....
So I too am going to giving it until Battle of Champions....if things have no drastically changed, the AWA "E-Fed" portion of the site, will close....this site will remain open so everyone can talk OOC if they want....but the e-fed part of it will be closed. I'll keep you updated after BoC....if you are RPing for the PPV, good luck!

if we do close, i may well write some shows from time to time, even RP from time to time, but only for my amusement and hopefully others too. it would not be competitive stuff.
if BoC is the last 'real' PPV we have, we will make it great and either AJ or Slam will get the honour of being our last champion.
it should be me, but as always, im just too nice.
damn AJ though, i gave him the last ever BWA World title. that guy has all the luck.

I was the last USCW Undisputed World Champion, too. AJ = Fed Killer

Seriously, this sucks. You're never prepared for the end, and it doesn't just go away, either. I know I'll still want to write RPs and whatnot. I could see myself bugging Luke to have a one week special feud, either just for fun or to send off the AJ/MJ feud in style. Hell, I might harass a couple of you to fight me one to two weeks or so.

this would make me sad. i have been bored here for the pasr month or so but its because there isnt enough people to feud with. ive tried to keep things fresh. shit, i even got timbo to feud with me but hes been too busy to do much so ive kinda backed off. i would have to see this place close though.

My thoughts on this right now are that i am happy to still write and post shows, but i think we should try this following BATTLE of CHAMPIONS
* booked monthly PPVs - RP based booked at the beginning of the month, scheduled for the end of the month these shows would be RPed for as much as possible by all involved
* random TV shows - SL based these would be written mainly by me and Timbo, to help carry any RPs that have been put down and to help progress feuds towards the PPV. There would be no strict date for these shows and the RPs that are put out would not determine the outcome. Winners and losers woould be entirely based on what can help the storylines. If anyone has the urge to write a show, they can contact me and Timmy, check whether we have one planned, if not they can send their show to us and we can hopefully use it.
Anyway, thats my ideas for the coming months, see how it goes.
hopefully having a match booked weeks in advance will give people time to invest. having SL shows makes life easier for us running the place and gives you all something intersting and unexpected to read, hopefully sparking creativity.
Thoughts?

As long as I do not lose my championships in a storylined situation, I'll be fine. I've worked hard to keep them and I will be more than happy to post some promos with my character for pay per views but I would be really pissed if I lost my championship belt over some storyline.

er...well we might need to talk then because this fed and the way it is run has to change, either that or i am going to step back from helping to keep it tick over.
if RPs are only counting for one show a month, belts might change during the month on storylines, all belts would be subject to that and all 'characters' would be subject to it.
however, if a champion lost their title during a storyline show then they would 99% of the time be given a chance to reclaim it or probably even reclaim it in the following weeks when a storyline show appears.
if people want to be in the AWA they have to relax now, and accept that for a large amount of the time they are taking part in a storyline based fed, fueled by mine and Timbos creativity.
the days of RPing every week to maintain a championship position are gone as far as i can see and i think everyone needs to accept this.
if i was a champion, i would happily put someone over in a storyline if it helped the other guy or even just helped to spice things up.
thing is Lucas, everything has changed here now and everyone has to understand that it has.
you know im a big fan of yours, and when i say this i am talking to everyone...
...if you want to be in a fed that is purely RP based then you need to look elsewhere.
in my mind the AWA is now a fed that is 75% storyline, 25% RP.
if a champion losses the belt outside of the PPVs then it is storyline and it has to be accepted.
if Timmy has different views then ill accept that, the AWA is his to run.
hopefully we will hear from him soon enough...

I can understand where James Lucas is coming from....but not from the championship side of it....I could understand it in the sense that he's never lost a match. So his first loss, would be storylined, not RP based, and I could see where that might upset someone....but, like Luke said, the AWA is basically dead. If you're looking for challenges, RP wise, you should try to find another e-fed where you can RP....most people here are older or super busy with life, or both....a lot of people have walked away from the game....there were a select few who heald on for a long time to try to keep things running, but the fact is, we're not high school kids with all the free time in the world....we're all older....we're married, have kids, have jobs, go to college full time, or a combination of a few of them....fact is, it seems like we've outgrown the "competitive game" part of the AWA. In a way, it's bitter sweet for me. The AWA was the first fed that I ventured out and started on my own....it was successful for quite a while....now, after all these years, things are dying down with the AWA once again....it's full circle for me as an owner....it's sad in a lot of ways, but hey, this is life. If I was RPing multiple times a week and really trying to keep this place together, then I might be upset about it....but I've got a week and a half left of freedom and then summer classes start up....after summer classes I have two weeks free and them fall classes start back up....I'm busy all the time....I just don't have the time for it....on top of it, my relationship with Kristin had gone to hell....we went through a lot of issues, and I'm very happy to say that those issues are in the past and we are happier than ever before....but with that said, we are very busy. So it's not easy to devote so much time to this place. It takes A LOT to run it....and then I try to keep NJD in the mix for an extra RPer because this place was so slow and it just wasn't working out. Bottom line is this....Luke and I are going to keep storylines going, just for fun....if at some point, everyone starts wanting to RP again, we will bring everyone together and see about starting up the competitive game again....otherwise, things will be however things will be....don't worry James, we'll work something out....and if you're going to lose/lose your title, we'll run the storyline by you first to make sure you're ok with it. As for everyone else....I hope you all hang out around here and bullshit with everyone else....lets get the OOC boards active again....I'd love for everyone to be able to hang out and talk....and the rest....well, it will be whatever it ends up being....nothing else really needs to be said

Can we get the OOC boards active again by calling Timmy emo and AJ Gay?

That was an unfair thing to say, especially in the light of things here in the AWA. Its a title that you should have lost, if people weren't fair to you to begin with. If things get to be storyline based for everything besides PPV's, you might have to take a loss down the line. Nobodies untouchable, especially in a game. Not even AJ, no matter what he tells you.

AJ is the least untouchable. He loves the touch, of man. He wants my touch, its his greatest desire but sadly he will leave this world without it.
