One on One
"The Golden Child"
Nicholas J Draven-Windsor
Vs
Othello Craven
The Co-Owner of the AWA kicked off the night going face to face with the monster, Craven. The match up was interesting, with NJD having to use his quickness to avoid a knock out blow, but ultimately NJD proved his worth and his focus on the AWA Hardcore Championship and levelled Craven with a Pedigree, possibly sending a message to his father, Mr Draven who has been absent for some time now from the AWA.

"The Franchise"
James Lucas (c)
Vs
"The Virus"
Ripper
These two superstars had met before, now with no titles on the line neither had anything to loss and it showed. James Lucas made the call that despite the belt not being on the line, the match would in fact be fought under Hardcore Rules. Ripper had no issue with this and by the time the 5 minute mark hit the champion was losing blood, all thanks to Ripper slamming his head into the unforgiving corner of the steel steps. But Lucas is not the longest reigning champion in AWA history for nothing, he was soon back in the game, himself using anything that came to hand to inflict damage on ‘The Hardcore Madman’.
Ripper eventually joined Lucas in the blood stakes, and both men would not let up. Fighting to the back, the referee lost control of the match. Nicholas J Draven inserted himself in the brawl, looking to get an advantage in the lead up to Battle of Champions.
Not only had the ref lost control, but he also found himself on the receiving end of a brutal chair shot when Lucas went on a rampage. A pattern followed, Ripper took out the 2nd ref to show up and N JD took out the 3rd to try his luck.
The match never saw a winner and the brawl continued as the show moved on.

"The Evil-Est"
Slam II (c)
Vs
"The Ego"
MJ Windsor
Co-Holder of the AWA Disputed Championship, Slam II made his way out to the ring, waiting to find out what MJ Windsor had meant earlier in the week when he said he would be taking care of their match for tonight.
It did not take long to find out. MJ came out onto the stage, limping and being helped along by his fiancée, Angela Jordan. MJ announced that he unfortunately would not be able to compete tonight as he had injured his ankle in an ‘energetic intimate session’ with Angela. MJ then brought out his replacement, Jonny London!
London’s face was scared after the brutal attack a few weeks ago at the hands of MJ Windsor himself, and he looked in no condition to be wrestling yet. However MJ told him that if he wanted to continue to earn a living in the AWA he would do as he was told.
Against his better judgement, London accepted and got into the ring with Slam II. The Disputed Champion went into a frenzy and beat down on London until he had worn his own arms out. Picking him and lifting him into the air, Slam brought him back down with a sick spike suplex and thankfully made the cover to put London out of his misery.
As Slam stood in the ring, looking down at the destruction, MJ Windsor appeared behind him, no longer limping MJ twisted Slam around and took him down with an Ego Trip. Angela passed MJ his customer mic and MJ told Slam that he was not to be underestimated, he said that whilst he was happy to give Slam what he needs to ensure Anthony Jordan was defeated at Battle of Champions, he was not about to let anyone think he was going soft. Slam can either work with MJ and know his role, or work against MJ and get hurt.
It looked as though MJ was about to take the attack further, but Whitey Fords music hit, making his way out onto the stage was enough for the ‘injured’ MJ to make a quick choice, and that was to get out of the ring and leave via the crowd.
Result – Winner – Slam II by pinning MJs replacement, Jonny London
Double Main Event

"The Role Model"
Anthony Jordan (c)
Vs
Whitey Ford
With Ford already in the ring, Anthony Jordan made his way out, carrying his AWA Championship belt.
The contest was great, both men may have issues with each other, but they respect the rules and respect the fans and put on a TV classic.
The end would come in this sportsman like contest when Anthony Jordan countered a DDT attempt by Ford and hooked in a small package.
