Just one match needs discussing.
Does anyone think Wade Barrett will pull off a dirty win to screw John Cena into joining Nexus?
I think this needs to be done. Cena can still play the babyface role every week, begrudgingly working for Barrett. Think Rock in the early Nation of Domination, Rey Mysterio in the LWO in WCW, and just recently HBK working for JBL last winter.
Rock turned Faarooq babyface, when Rock officially heeled out and kicked Faarooq out of the group. Rey Mysterio refused to disband the LWO when the nWo came back, turning the LWO face and resulting in the Nash vs Mysterio feud, and HBK got his comeuppance against JBL in a great emotional storyline.
If John Cena were to be forced to join Nexus against his will and have to help Barrett for a month or two, there are endless possibilities here. You can continue to build the hatred between one another, keep Nexus relevant, and eventually have a nice blowoff match which I'd assume Cena would win, but it'd still be good tv (like HBK/JBL) or Cena heels it out and kicks Barrett out ala Rock in the Nation.
Having Cena easily win and disband Nexus is absolutely the wrong way to go here. If that's the route they choose, they can not sit and wonder why ratings continue to plummet.
