RETURNING SUPERSTARS
ONE on ONE
"The Myth" Marcus Cooper
Vs
"The Role Model" Anthony Jordan
For the fans, this was one of the most exciting opening matches ever booked, the return of their favourite son, Anthony Jordan. But on the other side of the ring would be Marcus Cooper. Cooper arrived a few months ago but due to so undisclosed issues, never really got running. However, tonight was a big night, a chance to impress MJ Windsor by taking out Anthony Jordan!
Well, ‘Anthony Jordan’ did take a beating, but it was not the “The Role Model” Anthony Jordan. No, it was “The Ladieswear Model” Anthony Jordan, a local talent paid by MJ Windsor himself to dress up in the trademark chaki pants and polo shirt for the simple task of taking a beating at the hands of “The Myth”.
And what a beating, the 150 pounder was thrown around like a rag doll, from corner to corner until thankfully Cooper put him away and laid this one to rest.
As you can imagine, the fans in the arena were not impressed
HANDICAP MATCH
Jake Andrews (c)
David K Slam Senior
Vs
Donzig
Brian Shelby
Dominic Slay
This was billed as Handicap match, but it appeared as though the Affliction did not want the advantage and that Dominic Slay was not best pleased about being a ‘team member’ anyway.
Making his feelings know by dishing out a verbal assault on the self proclaimed living god, Donzig. This did not sit well with the Affliction leader, together with Shelby they took about beating the hell out of Slay!
Slay eventually managed to escape, but left ringside and told everyone that he was through with ‘this crap’ and through with the AWA!
Once the scheduled match kicked off, all hell broke loss, the referee had a very tough time calling the action but somehow managed to maintain enough order.
However, the numbers once again became an advantage as Gavin Drake appeared at ringside, distracting Jake Andrews and the referee long enough to allow a double team beating to take place on David Slam, resulting in Donzig picking up a massive win over his long time foe just two weeks before they meet one on one at Halloween Havoc!
After the match, the cameras followed Dominic Slay as he headed for the arena exit. Slay once said that he was through with the AWA until he started to be shown some respect. He was asked what he intended to do about his match at Halloween Havoc, but before Slay could reply he was ambushed. The attacker? AWA’s newest superstar, Ryan Green, or simply ‘Green’ as he asks to be addressed. Green really went to work on Slay, eventually trapping his arm between the exit door and door frame before kicking the door closed, crushing Slays elbow in the process.
Green told Dominic Slay that this was nothing personal, but that if he did not want his spot at Halloween Havoc, Green would be more than happy to fill it!
MIXED GENDER TAG TEAM
"The Franchise" James Lucas
"The Bitch" Miss Clementine
w/ Sid Manzen
Vs
Slam II (c)
Vixen
Another match with huge implications for Halloween Havoc. It looked as though Slam was going it alone as the ‘over protective’ Othello Craven kept Vixen from coming down to ringside.
James Lucas and Miss Clementine were having fun with this advantage, with The Bitch using her charms to distract the referee whilst Lucas used all manner of cheap shots, closed fists and low blows.
But Vixen was not to be denied. Eventually breaking free from Craven, she went straight for the ring and the two feisty women went at it all guns blazing.
Tagging herself in she went to work on The Bitch as Slam and Lucas brawled to the outside. Vixen, with the built up frustration and being a little fresher was able to put Miss Clementine away and give the win to herself and her man!
CONTENDERS LADDER MATCH
A contract for the final spot inside the Terror Dome at Halloween Havoc for the World Championship will be suspended 20ft high above the ring
Frost
Vs
Kokaine
Kokaine had days earlier declared that he was going to intentionally loss this match so that he could face MJ Windsor at Halloween Havoc. But having been told that if he did throw the match, he would actually be fired seemed to light a fire under the arrogant young athlete.
This turned out to be a show steeling affair, with the fans on the edge of their seats as both men had multiple ‘finger tips on the contract’ moments.
The end came with Kokaine at the top of the ladder, Frost had been recovering on the mat and managed to push the ladder away from under Kokaines feet, but Kokaine remained in the air! Holding onto the case with the contract in it, but unable to unclip the hook without letting go. With the fans gripped, Frost used his second wind to launch the ladder into the air, swiping Kokaine from the case and both dropping to the floor with a thud. Frost grabbed a second ladder, positioned it over the fallen Kokaine and scaled the rungs to the top and managing to pull down the contract, earning himself the chance to get into the Terror Dome at Halloween Havoc and fight for the World championship!
As Frost celebrated, James Lucas made his way to the ring, he grabbed the ‘stolen’ Worlds championship belt from ringside and used it to level the victor. It looked as though Lucas was going to be the one leaving with the gold this week, but its rightful owner, Slam II arrived before Lucas could depart. Both men brawled with Slam eventually hitting a stunner and taking back what he had earned and won fair and square at Unfinished Business.
Before the main event started. MJ took his spot in the ring to make an announcement, he informed everyone that he saw what happened earlier on in the night, he saw Dominic Slay bitch and complain and then he saw Green beat the living crap out of him and declared himself willing to challenge for the Hardcore Championship at Halloween Havoc. Well MJ was impressed, he was impressed with the aggression and the initiative shown. MJ said he was also impressed at Marcus Cooper, having beaten ‘Anthony Jordan’ to a pulp at the beginning of the show and therefore he was rewarding them both, at Halloween Havoc is would be a 3 Way for the Hardcore Championship, Jake Andrews defending against Green and Marcus Cooper
MAIN EVENT
GRUDGE MATCH
"The EGO" MJ Windsor
w/ Angela Windsor & Khris Heaven
Vs
Gavin Drake
This would be the first taste of the main event for Gavin Drake in the AWA, but he showed little signs of nervousness, perhaps because Donzig and Brian Shelby had accompanied him to the ring for this match. MJ of course had his wife, Angela Windsor and his enforcer, Khris Heaven, perhaps not a match for the might of the Affliction.
Anyway, the match started without any issues, both men testing each other out and trying to get an edge. The experience of MJ came into play with him coming out on the winning side more often than not, but Drake was determined and made the former 4 time champion realise he was not there to play games.
As the match moved on, the tension at ringside got heated as the women began to push the buttons of Donzig and Shelby a little too much. We all know Donzig is not the most stable of characters, and eventually he snapped and grabbed Khris Heaven whilst Shelby held back Angela Windsor.
Assuming his women could look after themselves, MJ used the distraction to hit a low blow on Drake and follow it up with an Ego Trip. But the referee was not in position when he went for the cover, instead he was standing at the ropes shouting for the brawl to break up at ringside.
MJ took it upon himself to show the referee how pissed off he was, he smacked him right in the mouth!
Having had some time to recover, Drake was ready for MJ and lifted him up and hit the
Echelon, but now the referee was out cold and no one was able to make the count.
Khris Heaven was thrown into the ring, Donzig, Shelby and Angela Windsor followed and a all hell broke loose inside the ropes.
When the ref came around, he had no choice but to DQ the Ego, bring an end to the last match of the night.
This is when The Official Advisor, “The Ringmaster” made his appearance. He told MJ that he had enjoyed the show, but as the last match was over it was now time for The Ringmaster to start making some announcements and plans for his show, next Monday.
But first he said that as the Tag Team Championship was not on the line at Halloween Havoc, he had decided to give the Affliction members something else to get their teeth into, he was adding them into the Hardcore Championship match and it would now be a Fatal 5 Way match!
And next week, along with a host of other matches, MJ Windsor and James Lucas would face Donzig and Frost in a tag match, and the AWA World Champion, Slam II would be the special guest referee!
