now it's time (Donzig)

[Ryan Green]

<>the awa world heavyweight champion stops as he comes to the door, the door that seperates the awa roster from the man that many of them fear, the 'guvna, Donzig.
Green lifts his hand and uses his knuckles to knock on the door, the champion waits for a moment and then repeats.
With no answer coming, Green takes it upon himself to push down on the handle and open the door into the lions den.
With caution Green pushes the door open and steps into the room, looking to his left straight away he sees Donzig who is sitting behind his desk, head back in a relaxed position and a cigar in his mouth.
Donzigs head slowly drops down and his eyes open as he looks at the man who has dared walk in uninvited.
Green takes a couple of steps further into the room and then stops just shy of the chair on his side of the desk<>

"Did you not hear me knocking?"

<>Donzig takes the cigar from his mouth and takes a breath<>

Donzig
"I heard"

<>Green considers his next line and then delivers it<>

"And you simply chose to ignore it?"

Donzig
"Spot on champ!"

"Well i guess i should be thankful that i now have your attention then Guv?"

<>Green takes a step in and pulls back the chair and then takes a seat.
Donzig looks on, once again almost letting on that whilst he might not like everything Green does, he has an amount of respect for the guts he shows when dealing with him<>

Donzig
"Indeed you should, oh, and take a seat if you like"

<>Green smirks in reaction to the sarcastic comment<>

"You may or may not have heard about my thoughts on next mondays main event match that you have booked me in"

Donzig
"I have heard something, but i brushed it aside, assuming you could not be so stupid to be saying such a thing"

"Well thats were your wrong Guv"

<>Green stops for a moment, realising he may have just accepted the fact that he is stupid<>

Donzig
"Go on!"

"Well, im your world champion and whether you want to accept it or not, that means i have some standing in the awa and when im put into a match that im not happy with, ill make my voice heard.
You want me to face Croc and that other twat on monday night in a handicap match!"

Donzig
"Not so, i want you to compete in a tag match with your partner being Jake Andrews!"

"Like i said, a handicap match!
Guv, im not teaming with Jake Andrews and i have some valid reasons why.
Firstly, i am also one half of the awa tag champions, i have a tag team partner and we have proven ourselves to be the best and therefore i have no reason to tag with anyone else.
and secondly and most importantly, you have put me in a frigging 6 man chamber match at the ppv and as your world champion you need to make sure i am protected until i defend my title.
Jake Andrews is no defense, in fact he is likely to cause me more harm by getting in my way. I am not teaming with that wanker, no way.
You need to realise what you have with me as your champion, you see Guv, you know i respect you and you know i will do whats best for business and seeing as your running the business that means i will do whats best for you.
You think anyone else is thinking like that right now, well maybe Shelby but even you know he has a lot to prove until he is considered a main player.
What i want is for you to make sure i get a fair crack at being the best champion in awa history, and if that means you being a little one sided then so be it, its how this business works.
Ill look after your interests and you look after mine and everyone else can either tow the line or get put down.
Frost let you down, i wont.
You can count on me Guv, so how is this gonna play out, am i going to have to pull a no-show next week or are we going to come to an arrangement?"

<>the champion has said his peace and can now only accept it and wait for the reply, good or bad<>

[Donzig]

"Green, I am trying very hard not to lose my temper this week." Donzig smiled ever so slightly, and he flicked ashes from his cigar. And he rolled his shoulders, leaning forward as he tilted his head. Then he ground the cigar out, and drew a deep breath.

"I have Croc refusing matches until I hand him your world title, I have sixteen different whiners complaining they deserve to be inside the Elimination Chamber!" Donzig frowned, his hands folding before him.

"And then you come back here and whine to me because you don't want to fucking tag with Jake Andrews?" Donzig's voice rose, and he snapped his eyes around to glare at Green. "Well, sunshine, let me fucking tell you something! No one likes who they are being tagged with on Monday! Nobody! And then you walk back here and run your mouth at me?"

Green nodded, not backing down from Donzig's increasing fury. He rose slowly, shaking his head before he continued. "Your tag team partner Marcus Cooper is a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber because you bitched until I gave him a chance to get into it!"

Green grunted, and Donzig's eyes narrowed. "I think a handicap match sounds delightful, actually. I really do, like maybe DJay and Andrews vs. Green! Or maybe Croc, DJay, and Andrews vs. Green! But you know what, Ryan?"

Donzig paused, and he jabbed a finger. "I can call you, Ryan."

And the boss did not wait for an answer, and he smiled slowly. "I made a New Years Resolution to be less angry this year, less vengeful and petty, less whimsical and cruel. You have caught me in a transitional period."

Green smiled, and Donzig sat back down. And he drew out a cigar, lifting his cigar cutter to slice off the end. "I am going to change your match."

Green clapped his hands together, nodding as he grinned. "Right, now we are talking, guvna!"

Donzig grunted. "DJay will face Jake Andrews in singles competition. And since you are a fighting champion? Since you want to prove yourself? And because you like to run your fucking mouth?"

Green's smile faded, as Donzig stared at him. "You can face that piece of shit David Slam II with Frost as special referee. And Green, let me be very fucking clear."

Donzig rose slowly, and his eyes locked on Green's as he drew a deep breath. Then he hissed, scowlin. "If you think you are going to skip that show? If you think you are going to threaten me with no showing? I will strip your fucking ass of that world title, so fast your fucking head will spin! ARE WE FUCKING CLEAR, RYAN?"

Donzig's cigar snapped under his fingers, and he tilted his head to glare at the mess before his gaze settled on Green again.

[Ryan Green]

<>Green and Donzig locked eyes for a time, Green is the first to buckle, his eyes flick away and then come back so he can reply to the guvna<>

"Very clear"

<>Donzig appears to be a little suprised at the easy going reaction as Green stands up and pushes the chair away behind him.
Green walks over to the door, pauses and turns back to face Donzig<>

"I will do your bidding for you and i will break Slam down before you get your hands on him.
But you know what Guv, it is a shame this meeting did not go a little smoother.
Things could have ended so much better than this"

<>with that the champion walks out of the room leaving Donzig pondering what was meant by that.<>
