My Time!

[Brian Shelby]

The fans boo as 'No Love' hits, and the one and only Brian Shelby walks from the back. He pauses on the top of the ramp, frowning as he looks out across the fans. Then he tears off his sunglasses, shaking his head before he walks down to the ring.

He puts the glasses in his jacket, then climbs inside before he calls for the mic.

Shelby: "What is wrong with you people? You cheer for a man who once again showed us on Monday Night exactly how much character he has! Joel Frost! And you cheer for a man who gave up like a little bitch like David Slam!"

The fans actually cheered at both of those names, which made Shelby frown. He paced back and forth, then sighed.

Shelby: "But you boo a man who is an icon! You boo a man who is everything an AWA superstar should be! You boo a man who represents us as a real champion!"

The fans didn't like that at all, and they were on their feet booing! And Shelby smirked, shaking his head as he waved a hand.

Shelby: "You cheer for a has been like Ripper, and you cheer for a man who has done things that make Mr. Green, Cooper, and Slam look like a saint! And I am talking about my former friend and partner, Gavin Drake."

Now the fans were really unhappy, after all who didn't love the Blood of Kings! And Shelby laughed, running a hand through his hair before he continued.

Shelby: "You people are clueless! Let me tell you all something, Frost may have been the Chosen. And I may have been a loyal footsoldier in the Crusade! Gavin Drake, was Donzig's attack dog! He did what he was told, and he enjoyed it! And he is still the same bloodthirsty sadist that he was when he was on Donzig's leash!"

The fans protested, and Shelby paced as he nodded.

Shelby: "Go ask MJW or that loser Slam who caused them the most grief before Frost or Donzig put them out of their misery! But you can all relax, because next week at Anarchy? The Icon Brian Shelby will put Ripper back into retirement, and then?"

He paused, and the fans seemed to wait as he chuckled.

Shelby: "I will hit the Killionaire on the Blood of Kings, and then take my rightful place in the Elimination Chamber! I will be one step closer to becoming the AWA World Heavyweight Champion!"

The Icon smirked, laughing as he lifted his mic.

Shelby: "And right here and now? On AWA 80's night before I take my place as the Champion? I want that loser, I want that former so called Champion David Slam in this ring! Evidently, when the Affliction grond the Slam Nation and their entire little bizzare family into the earth? David Slam learned nothing."

The fans were not happy, and Shelby snorted.

Shelby: "Yeah, whatever, because Slam should have learned not to get in the business of his betters! But he seems to have missed the point, so come on Slam! Come down here and show me how tough you are."

A pause.

Shelby: "What's the matter Slam? Realize you have nothing intelligent to say unless it is about weed? Realize you can't actually say anything because you can't hit your shitty little stunner? Because if you do? You will be fired, and never get your shot at Donzig?"

The fans were not happy, and Shelby laughed at them as he waved a hand towards the ramp.

[Gavin Drake]

'Amazing' hit, and the fans were on their feet as the Blood of Kings walked from the back. Gavin Drake stared at the ring, rolling his shoulders before he adjusted the AWA Hardcore Title on his shoulder.

Then he walked down to the ring, smirking before he climbed inside. He rolled his shoulders, adjusting his jacket before he took a mic. His eyes meeting Shelby's before he looked around. "David Slam the Second is clearly off hiding somewhere and Joel Frost is sure you are not worth his time. Which leaves you with me, mate."

Shelby stared at him, and then he started to speak before Drake waved a hand at him. "Shut it, mate. You had the bullocks to run your bloody mouth about me! And now it is my turn, so you are gonna stand there and keep it shut! Or mate? I am going to beat your bloody arse."

The fans cheered, and Shelby stepped closer before Drake just stared at him. His eyes narrowed, and Shelby flashed a smile before he backed off.

Drake grunted. "You stand out here and say I was a bloody rabid dog? That Donzig left me off the leash and I happily did his bidding? Well, mate, let me tell you something!"

Drake jabbed a finger at the Icon. "Joel Frost and I believed in what the Affliction stood for, and we did whatever Donzig told us! And you know what, mate? I did enjoy smashing Slam and the New Connection, I bloody loved it!"

The fans gave a mixed reaction at that, and Drake smirked before he continued. "But you? You, Brian! You were only in it for the bloody money, you were there to collect a bloody paycheck! Because you don't get it!"

The fans exploded, and Shelby looked jacked as he took a step forward. He got in Drake's face, and the pair stared each other down as Drake continued. "Donzig became part of the problem, Frost grew a bloody conscience, and you? You are still standing around trying to collect a bloody paycheck from the boss, because you have no bloody heart, mate!"

Drake sneered. "You and Slam are the bloody same, you don't give a piss about this business! All you care about is getting your bloody name in lights and getting your bloody money! Hell, Green is more of a bloody man then you will ever be! So you can stand here and run your mouth all you want, mate? But at the end of the day? You maybe the Icon, but I am still better then!"

The fans went wild, and Shelby glared at them before he turned his gaze back to the smirking Drake.
