AWA.com can exclusively reveal that former 4 time AWA World Champion, Michael John Windsor had a meeting with AWA Owner, Mr Timothy Draven this past week.
Mr Draven has requested that we relay the following statement from him, directly to all the AWA fans.
'The meeting between myself and MJ took place because i requested it, MJ is a close personal friend and may well be considered the most important wrestler that the AWA has ever had.
We had not spoken since our last meeting some three months ago and i felt it was time to touch base and start discussing the future.
We met and talked, we drank and we talked some more and before we knew it the afternoon had turned into evening and the evening had turned into night. I could not be happier with how things went and i would like to let all of the AWA fans know that MJ misses them deeply, he may not have always been able to show it but he lived for the fans and worked his ass off for the AWA because of them.
With regards to a return, well we never say never in this business but nothing was agreed and certainly nothing was set in stone.
The meeting, i hope was the first step on the road to something great happening in the future. MJ still has the love for this business and i could tell he still had the 'bug'. But in all honesty he did not leave the AWA in the best of minds and still has reservations about what a future in the AWA could hold.
We are meeting again in a couple of weeks time and hopefully there will be some good news coming from that'
So there you have it people, the wheels have been set in motion. Could the former 'Ego' make a return to the company he walked out of last year? Time will tell but you can be sure that AWA.com will be the first to report any new news!
