For anyone who has even a slight interest in the world of wrestling, the events of the past few days have been extremely exciting. One fo the most successful wrestling companies of all time, the AWA put on its first live event in almost 3 months, and whilst the fans did not get to see any actual 'wrestling', those in attendance got to witness a gathering of some of the greatest names in the history of the industry.
The line in the sand has been drawn, AWA Owner, Mr Draven made it clear that although he loved this business like no other, he could not and would not continue to finance a company that was not making money.
Mr Draven has given all former AWA employees a chance to show up and put their name down as part of the group that will bring the company back to life and back to the top of the TV and PPV ratings.
The next few days are key and we here at awa.com will be keeping a close eye on the events as the unfold.
It has been mentioned that Mr Draven, MJ Windsor and one other have been scouted by another wrestling company who are willing to offer huge money in exchange for their services.
Will the AWA be given a new lease of life or will its heart and soul move on to pastures new?
