TNA has lots of great points, i just do not think they play to them enough.
They honestly could be a very fresh alternative to WWE if they did the opposite to the WWE.
push the womens division -
whilst it is currently better than WWE (which is not exactly hard to do) it is not as strong as it once was.
push the x division -
again, WWE has no realy interest in this style, those in the WWE that can perform in this way are usually used as jobbers or when they do get a push they fuck it up, as in Bourne and London.
TNA should be main eventing shows with the X Divison. Aries is quite possibly one of the very very best talents on TV right now and could easily carry a main event storyline which does not revolve around the World title.
push the tag team division -
and once again, it was absolutely excellent at one time, it has dipped recently and TNA have resorted to WWE tactics of throwing 2 unused guys together. They should find and push genuine tag teams, it worked before and can work again.
push Samoan Joe -
it is a crying shame to see what has become of this guy, once THE MAN who could whip up a crowd like no one else in TNA, he is now a joke who has been involved in so many short lived 'comebacks' it has watered him down beyond belief.
It is unlikely the WWE would do anything great with him, a grass skirt and teaming with the Usos is likely to be a sure thing if he headed there.
So TNA should start again and build him up, and do it simply like they did before, a big fucking guy who can fly around the ring and kicks peoples heads in. 'Joe is Gonna Kill You' needs to ring around the Impact Zone once again.
Aside from that, is is great to see Roode as the World Champ, so far it might not have been quite as exciting as id have liked, but that is probably because he turned heel way to quickly. But the guy is an awesome heel so i have no real complaints.
James Storm is having the greatest run of his career, thanks in part to Angle who is one of the very few 'older guys' who is worth having around in an active capacity. Storm should without doubt have a solid world title run in his future.
One thing they need to do is get rid of Flair, he is awful and i cant stand seeing him in his current form. His legacy will always stand up to those of us that know it but it is killing me to see what he has become.
Oh, and clearly the Hogan/Bischoff experiment has failed. Let them leave and pay Heyman anything he wants to be the head booker.
ECW might have failed but that was due to finance and poor business. When Heyman has been free of that worry he has produced the best wrestling TV. Remember Smackdown during the Lesner/Edge/Guerrero/Rey/Angle etc etc era, that was Heyman.
Wrestlers respect him and they seem to thrive when they are working with him.
Pay the guy some money, give him money to use and weekly TV and he will make good things happen.
