Michael Jackson died from cardiac arrest today. He was 50.
For whatever we think of him as a person, he was the greatest entertainer of my generation.

I'm shocked Ozzy is still kicking.
Anyway, there won't be another pop artist like Michael Jackson. It'll be hard for any artist or band to get big thanks to the MP3 era. People can find a ton of options for their preferred genres, so they don't have to listen to the radio and give other artists a shot. In a way, we're become more close-minded when it comes to music ironically now that we have the ability to seek the most music.

It's aweful and strange.....
Strange because an hour earlier, I told my wife Farah passed.... Then I said:
"Who's next?"
She asked what I meant I said:
"First McMahon, Then Farah....who's next? Celeb deaths always come in three"
an hour later, he passed. We are going to have a Michael Jackson tribute weekend at the skate rink. I'm d/l TONS more of his music right now.
They made a comment that he's the "self proclaimed king of pop"
There's no way you can call him that. He's IS the king of pop....no self proclaimed. After all, when you have the best selling record in the history of the world.... you aren't self proclaimed any more.
It's a damn shame. He was home in LA getting ready for a comeback tour to start in a few short weeks.

I just wish he hadn't lost his mind. I think his passing would be treated a lot better if not for that.

it is a sad day, that much is true.
i was up late watching TV when the 'rumor' came on the TV. i was going to come and post about it but to be honest i hoped it was bullshit.
today has been emotional, watching all the classis clips and listening to some of the greatest songs ever performed.
Jackson was, is and forever will be a phenom, no one can understand what it must have been like to be him because there are not many that have grown up from the age of 5 or 6 with the worlds eyes on their EVERY move. He grew up in a different time and was under presure from every which way.
I do not know what happened behind closed doors, but he was judged and was cleared.
All i know is he clearly deserves all the mourning, the love, the praise and the accolades bestowed upon him.
REST IN PEACE JACKO
