We received a report last night from a fan in attendance at the SmackDown/ECW live event in San Diego saying Edge was injured during his match with Jeff Hardy. The fan says Edge was running towards Jeff when it appeared he twisted or broke his ankle and that his foot was in a very awkward position. The match was stopped, EMT’s came running to Edge and he was helped to the back but not before he told the fans “sorry” on the mic.
Furthermore, Dave Meltzer says the injury may be a torn Achilles tendon and that they had only been actually wrestling for about a minute. This would be a serious injury for one-half of the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions that would likely require surgery and put him out of action for a while.
DAMNIT! There goes the best tag team WWE had in a while. And the best heel I've seen in a long time. DAMNIT! I loved watching Edge on the mic and in the ring. They are gonna try and get the titles on Rhodes and DiBiase.
FUCK! Guess CM Punk might move up in my fave list now that Edge is out for a little while.
What sucks?! Edge will come back as a face..... FUCK!

I'm not so sure Edge comes back as a face. He's come back as a heel before. He needs to ride the heel wave as long as he can because, eventually (in 4-6 years, I think), the fans will turn him face whether he likes it or not. How often does Taker or HBK get booed? Once a guy has achieved a lot, he has to bust his ass not to get cheered.

Yeah but, how long has it been already? 3 or 4 years I think.
I cheer Edge because of his skills and I love his character/demenor. Soon, all the 'smarks' will end up doing it too

I think smarks do like Edge, but many marks will happily boo him, and that is for the best.

Jericho should ask Punk to fill in. I think that'd create a ton of tension and work both ways. Hardy won't hate Punk for taking another title and getting more exposure while Punk would detest Jericho.

Rhodes/DiBiase
Santino/Bourne (I think would rock)
Kendrick/The Miz
Burchill/Goldust
Benjamin/Helms
I think that'd be cool...random teams put together
I looked through the rosters on WWE.com to see who all might be good together and...well...the ECW roster fucking blows....except for Christian and Benjamin..... They really fucked ECW on this 'trade'

While it's true Christian deserves better... he's the #1 guy on ECW right now. I think they put him there to try to add some prestige to ECW. I guarantee you he'll be drafted soon, though.
Poor Edge... that really sucks. It's rumored he could be out for a year... which SUCKS!!!
