MYSTERIO VS ZIGGLER - WWE IC CHAMPIONSHIP
Winner - Still IC Champion, REY MYSTERIO
Fucking good match. Ziggler stepped up, and Mysterio was sensational.
I wanted to see Ziggler get a major PPV win...but he still got over in this match. Fans actually chanted 'lets go Ziggler'. Against Mysterio and as a unlikable cocky new heel, that chant was thanks to his work rate in the ring. He has to be a future IC champ.

Winner - MVP
Nice match, short but OK. Some good moves and the correct result in my book. MVP is ready to move up, Swagger needs mid-card success on Raw for a while

JERI-SHOW Vs CRYME TYME - UNIFIED WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
Winners - Still UNIFIED CHAMPIONS - JERI-SHOW
Again, this was a solid match. And like the IC match, the challengers looked good in defeat. Jericho cut a great promo to start things off and Cryme Tyme looked like a challenge.
Im happy to see the belts stay put. Cryme Tyme should enjoy a better push now i hope.


**Promo with CM Punk. Man this guy is a delight as a heel. He ripped Hardy, Celebrity and Hollywood. Perfect stuff.


KANE Vs GREAT KHALI
Winner - KANE
wrestling on the mat...holy shit!
This match was thankfully kept short. Was not a car wreck like it could have been. The right person won. I have a feeling this feud is not over though!


DX Vs LEGACY
Winners - And Still not putting anyone over - DX
fuck me they have changed the DX theme tune...same but re-mixed.

Anyway...the match was actually good. Ill give DX a bit in terms of making Legacy look like a threat. But if there is a team or if there are 2 guys in the WWE that do not need to win a match against 2 up and comers, 2 future main eventers, it is HHH and HBK.
Rhodes looked very good in the match, but ended up falling to Sweet Chin Music.
Jericho recently posted about Raw not making new stars. He said when HBK returned he asked "so who has been made since i was last here on Raw?"
Answer...NO ONE.
So i had hoped HBK would not be the one pinning a hot new talent on a major PPV. OH WELL.


CHRISTIAN (c) Vs REGAL - ECW CHAMPIONSHIP
Winner - Still ECW CHAMPION - CHRISTIAN
ECW title gets mid card billing, above DX...interesting!
Regal out with Jackson and Kozlov, looks like we could have a new stable forming. I like that.

Christian pins Regal in er, 3 seconds, 4 seconds for the match in total i think.
New heel stable beat C-Man up.
Good for the Stable, Bad for the ECW belt, does nothing for Christian.


ORTON (c) VS CENA - WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
Winner - STILL WWE CHAMPION - RANDY ORTON
So SD get the real final main event slot again? Does this mean no big Cena celebration? After the screw up ECW match, im not holding out hope.

Orton gets himself DQ. Via Lilian, McMahon orders a restar, if Orton gets DQed he losses the belt.

Orton pins Cena, feet on the ropes. New ref comes out, tells original ref, match restart.
Someone ??? runs in and attacks the ref. Gets pulled away before we can see him. Orton outside ring, Cena in, Cena bends through, Orton grabs his head and RKO into the ropes. Orton in the ring...2nd RKO and the win.


MAIN EVENT
HARDY (c) Vs CM PUNK - WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Winner - AND NEW MOTHERFUCKING WORLD CHAMPION - CM PUNK...BABY!!!
WOW...what a match. They stole it tonight. To much action to note but it was awesome, both went over and above.
CM Punk pushes Hardy off the ladder for the finish and takes the belt.
Punk stands over a fallen Hardy...

...THE FUCKING BELLS CHIM!!!...THE LIGHTS GO OUT...

...they come back on, Punk thinks it is ok...

...but he looks down, that AINT Hardy on the mat!!!

thats the UNDERTAKER!!!

Taker reachs up, grabs Punks throat, hits a chokeslam and the fans cream over it.


The Deadman is back and Punk is set for a fucking awesome main event run.

I only wish this was later in the year, running to WM. If Taker put Punk over at WM it would put Punk in the spot as the biggest heel in the business and the WWE would have helped created one of its biggest stars.

Jeff? Im guessing he is gone? We will see. He needs the rest im sure and right now, its Punks time.

Like the booking, so far. I think Rey/Ziggler can keep going with Zig getting closer and closer until he breaks through. Then, after he wins a hard fought match, he cheap shots Rey to make sure he stays a heel.

MVP needed to win. He was losing popularity. Swagger is a great heel (born to do it. He could never be cheered unless a crowd is being ironic (NY, Canada, etc.)) and can work with this. Give MVP a taste of the big time with a feud with Orton.

Jack Swagger should be in a solid mid card US Title feud with Kofi. That would be pretty badass. I liked that Swagger and Bourne feuded, but I hate how they treat Bourne. He's becoming a joke on Raw. Swagger vs. Kofi....book it!

Christian needs to move on to Smackdown. He's too big for ECW and outshines everyone. He's nerfing himself to make things look competitive. Hope he can leave before it becomes habit.

TLC match was decent, but didn't live up to the standards of others (though I may be a bit harsh as the other matches had 4+ men). They let Hardy be a fighter to the end and look good in defeat. Sets up well for his eventual return.

Did not see the 'Taker bit coming.

Taker vs. Punk....fucking awesome. If Taker is a true company guy, he'll let Punk defeat him. Have Taker pissed because he can't beat the "young kid"....it'd be awesome!

the 'fan' who interferred in the Orton/Cena match was Brett DiBiase, Teds younger brother and other son of Million Dollar Man.

wonder if that will be used to bring the next Dibiase into the fold? Or just used for the PPV?

I think Ted Jr needs time to develop himself before his younger brother jumps in.

I only got two of them right- both were the non titles bought.

I was kinda pulling for some long-shots (Ziggler and Legacy)... I was sort of expecting a lot of surprise developments. I guess that didn't go as planned.

I hope Hardy sticks around... I certainly would love for him to be involved in the Taker/Punk feud. I remember back in the days of the Undisputed Title, Taker and Hardy had a feud on RAW... while it was clear that Jeff hadn't "made it" yet, it was still exciting to watch. Punk seems very adaptable to many different styles, which is why he has such amazing matches (Hardy, Morrison, Umaga). I do hope/think that he'll have the title for a while now. If Hardy sticks around (or takes a short hiatus), I'm thinking he could get the title back at Wrestlemania, and have a good run with it. He's had three title runs- two lasted about a month, one lasted only a few minutes. Punk's first title run was a few months, but he never had spectacular wins (or wins that made him look strong). His second one was a month. I'm hoping he gets a decent run with it now.

DX... I'm guessing they're not done with Legacy. I'm sure they'll end up with Jeri-Show eventually, also.

This is just my guess....

Something will happen on Raw where Legacy will face someone, maybe DX again....Ted will lose the match for Legacy. After the match, I could see Orton and Rhodes attacking/kicking Ted out of Legacy....they then announce that Ted doesn't have "it" and they've replaced him with a younger, better DiBiasi....Brett DiBiasi....Brett comes out and attacks his older brother and makes it known that if you're a part of Legacy, you need to be willing to leave a Lagacy, and Ted just didn't have what it takes to do that. I then see John Cena coming out to save Ted DiBiasi, helping Ted become a face in the WWE.

I could also see Jeri-Show coming out and saying that there aren't any tag team left. No one is good enough to face Jeri-Show. DX theme hits, DX comes out and a new feud is born.

As for Smackdown....I love what they're doing. The Punk/Hardy feud was pretty awesome, mainly because Punk played the perfect face to heel role. I would like to see Punk keep the title until WM to be honest. I have a feeling at WM, Edge, if possible, will return and win MITB....

As for Punk vs. Taker....as I said, I would love to see Punk shock the world and beat Taker. Lets be honest, no one in the world thinks Punk can beat Taker....so having Punk defeat Taker would be out of this world! No one would see it coming, and, it would really help Punks title run.
