the smackdown taping results on wrestlescoop.com showed that jeff hardy woul re-instate his rematch clause against cm punk in a cage match,and the loser leaves wwe,well the match kicks off,and punk wins,so that means buh-bye jeff,fans cry and cheer "thank you jeff" jeff makes a sad speech and at the end says "i have to disappear for a while,but when the time is right,i will be back" they go nuts,as the show fades
its weird i predicted in march that jeff would leave after summerslam to my friends,holy shit

It sounds like a Jericho situation. Plus, back when he was in TNA, he seemed really unhappy. WWE is his home.
He already said, "When the time is right, I'll be back" (or something like that). He's just taking a break. I'm sure we'll see him again somewhere down the road.
My only concern is that he'll stay clean while he's gone. I would like to think that he truly has turned his life around, but... fuck, I don't know the guy. Maybe the only reason he has been clean lately is because he didn't want to get fired... Now that termination is no longer a factor, he could be tempted by his past demons. I really, really hope not...

The match was solid, but Punk put it over so well. Laughing like a mad man after he hit the floor was so dickish as well as waving good-bye while clutching the title. The cheap shot as Jeff was leaving was the cherry on top.

when Punk came out and nailed Jeff as he was saying his final goodbye was awesome. Without taking anything away from Punk, he is the new Edge and that is a fucking good thing because Edge turned from being a lame fan favourite into one of the most important and watchable characters in the business.
With Edge out it is Punks time, and with Edge coming back as a solid fan favourite im guessing the sky could be no limit for Punk.
Good on Jeff for going along with the ending, he could have requested and probably gotten his farewell to end on a high note.
