:: The camera opens to a house show. The fans are cheering as Johnny London stands in the ring adjusting his gloves as the lights dim down. The Geiger-esque images begin to display onscreen however, there are newer images and a different beat is heard. Sure enough the song cuts and is interlaced with a the usual large and booming “I’M RIPPER!” however, it continues as a re-mix of Ripper’s old entrance music.
At the end of the first lines the titantron explodes along its edges and indeed the AWA World Heavyweight Champion walks out onto the stage. He is wearing his wrestling gear and the World Heavyweight title is secures securely around his waist. Alongside him stands his ever loyal assistant Scorpion::
Miss Taylor: “The following match is scheduled for one fall. All ready in the ring Johnny London...”
:: The crowd give a small appreciation cheer for the ever persistent AWA jobber. He waves to the crowd obviously appreciating what little cheers he can get.::
Miss Taylor: “Making his way to the ring accompanied by scorpion; from Aberdeen, Scotland; he is the AWA Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, “The Virus” Ripper.”
:: By this stage Ripper has reached the ring and strolls up towards the ring apron before ducking under the top rope. Ripper waits in the ring as his music cuts and the lights return to normal. Scorpion waits on the outside of the ring waiting for his employer to finish the match. The referee heads over to Ripper and holds out his hands for the world title belt Ripper simply shakes his head in response and mouths “Mine.” The referee continue to insist that Ripper hand over the belt however, Ripper refuses and indicates that the ref should just start the match.::
Matt Tassel: “Ripper still having problems it seems coping with giving the belt away”
Jesse Ventura: “Well he’s going to have to come Unfinished Business when he loses. Like he always does.”
Matt Tassel: “We thought that last time and Ripper came out on top. Looks like they are going to start the match with Ripper still having the belt on. Ripper is going to have to be careful not to get disqualified the moment he moves.”
Jesse Ventura: “Cheater”
:: Indeed the bell is rung and the match is under way. Ripper and Johnny London both circle each other in the middle of the ring. Johnny goes for the lockout however; Ripper quickly ducks under Johnny’s grab attempt and stops to wait as Johnny turns around. As he does Ripper quickly whips his right foot up and connects with a quick kick right to Johnny London’s jaw.::
Matt Tassel: “Ripper telegraphed that move perfectly. It just shows how much ring experience Ripper has.”
Jesse Ventura: “He got lucky. Who booked this match?!”
:: Johnny London drops to his knees at which point Ripper continues spinning to bring up his left foot to hit Johnny in the temple. Ripper ends with his back towards the jobber and runs towards the ropes. Bouncing off Ripper comes back connecting with a low sliding drop kick to the chest which causes Johnny to finally drop to the ground on his face. ::
Matt Tassel: “Again some great fluid movement from the champ”
Jesse Ventura: “Should have been disqualified by now.”
Matt Tassel: “He hasn’t used the world title or his mid section in any way, shape or form though.”
Jesse Ventura: “But the added weight will have increased his momentum Matt.”
Matt Tassel: “What?”
Jesse Ventura: “In classical mechanics, is the product of the mass and velocity of an object...”
Matt Tassel: “Forget I asked Jesse.”
:: Ripper stalks the fallen London before lowering himself onto his back and placing him into the Virus Clutch. London attempts to hold out but has no choice to tap and the bell is rung. ::
Miss Taylor: “The winner of the match Ripper!”
:: The fans begin to cheer as the World champion gets up off his competitor. Johnny quickly rolls out of the ring as Scorpion rolls in with a microphone. ::
Matt Tassel: “Looks like our champion has something to say.”
Jesse Ventura: “He’s only your champion Matt.”
Ripper: “Now it occurs to me that I haven’t been around as much as I should be, seeing as I am the champion and all. So that means I have quite a bit of stuff to address mainly this upcoming pay-per-view. I mean I know I mentioned it briefly when I came out to discuss the lovers’ quarrel between AJ and MJ. I chose the first weapon that I could for the match, a weapon that is close to my heart. However, it also occurs that I may need to choose a few more weapons to add to the match. To make it a little bit more interesting. Now obviously I have to add the usual rag tag bunch of weapons; tables, chairs, Singapore canes and the likes; I would also however, like to add the following more interesting items, for lack of a better term.”
:: Ripper reaches over to Scorpion who is handing over an A4 piece of paper with hastily scribbled notes on it. Ripper thanks Scorpion and clears his throat before beginning to read the list. ::
Matt Tassel: “This could be interesting we’ve been waiting for the allowed weapon list for two weeks.”
Jesse Ventura: “Let’s see how twisted this maniac really is.”
Ripper: “The Kitchen Sink. Figured I’d get it out of the way first to stop any jokes. The complete bound works of William Shakespeare. A Boyzone CD Collection hastily liberated from Anthony Jordan’s CD Collection. Exactly thirty seven thumb tacks in a hessian bag, no more, no less. A rocking chair.”
Jesse Ventura: “This is getting weird”
Ripper: “An iMac, for the simple reason that it is fun to destroy them. A signed picture of Sheldon Reese. Timmy Draven’s Limo Wheels and the Pièce de résistance. Sitting at the very top of the cell in a briefcase will be Franchi SPAS fifteen loaded with bean bags.”
Matt Tassel: “What in the world?”
Jesse Ventura: “That is madness.”
Matt Tassel: “Timmy Draven did say he could choose any weapons. Not sure that he will be happy about the limo wheels though.”
Ripper: “That my good friends are the entire list of weapons that will be available in that match. So go, train, practice, enjoy. Come Unfinished Business you will not be enjoying. For I will be walking into that match with this title securely wrapped around my waist and just like today, I will be walking out with that title still securely fastened around my waist.”
