EDIT: Forgot to pick a winner for James/Fox, and WWE just added a match- RTruth/McIntyre
First off... I can accept the Hell in a Cell theme much more than Breaking Point. The "submission only" gimmic was just stupid. Hell in a Cell, at the very least, makes a bit more sense- it's a giant spectacle, I can't blame them for milking it for all it's worth. Anyways... predictions, bitching, etc.
Divas Champion Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox
The only match on the card that I just don't give a shit about. There haven't been many Divas matches on PPVs lately, so I guess it's overdue. I still miss the days when the Divas were actually decent wrestlers. Lita, Trish, Molly Holly, Victoria... all gorgeous, and all good wrestlers. Anyways... James, I guess.
R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre
Please, please, PLEASE let R-Truth win. He deserves a push a helluva lot more than McIntyre- nothing against the kid, but he's still young, too new. R-Truth has paid his dues... give him a good midcard push. Put him in the IC Title hunt. I'm gonna go with R-Truth. By the way- last minute match? At least there was a bit of a build to this, but nothing impressive.
United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger
Kind of an odd feud... I don't really like the whole "Heel steals the title" gimmic, but it kind of works here- it caused heat between Miz and Swagger, so you know it won't be the two heels just teaming up against the face. That being said, I think Kofi will retain... but I think that his reign may end soon.
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler
It's Dolph's time. Should be a good match.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio
Jerishow. Jerishow. Jerishow. It'd be stupid to put the titles on Batista and Rey Mysterio... Rey shouldn't hold a title so quickly after fucking up, and Batista gave his goodbye to RAW- bringing him back so quickly is just not a good idea. Jerishow rules.
D-Generation X vs. The Legacy (Hell in a Cell Match)
In a perfect world, Legacy would win... and this would plant the seeds for an eventual HHH vs. HBK match. But if the rumors are to be believed, then Ted is going face soon to promote his movie. The movie comes out in late December... I think that they need to start hinting at a face turn now- make it very gradual till his film release. So I think a loss tonight could do that for him... Orton and Rhodes would blame him for the loss, and it goes from there. Anyways- DX wins. DX/Jerishow feud soon? That would rock...
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell Match)
Cena will win. Hopefully this feud will end. Their match at Breaking Point was actually really, really good storytelling- to the point where it did not look like Cena could win. But it was hindered by the fact that this match has happened far too often lately. This always happens with Cena... he is constantly thrown into feuds that last months at a time. And Vince wonders why he can't make any new stars...
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell Match)
I'd love a clean win from Punk, but it won't happen. Another screwjob or something will happen. Punk will win, simply because Taker has no need for the title. So Punk will win, but not clean.
