In an interview with skysports.com, Bret Hart talked about the following topics:
Inducting Shawn Michaels into the WWE Hall of Fame: "Maybe if he wants to make himself feel better about it he should have the guts to pick up the phone and apologize. Then we'll see after that."

He was going to WCW regardless and careless Goldberg would have kicked his head off with or without HBK going the extra mile. Shawn left during Bret's induction, too. I think he has tried to do right.

we all know Bret is a very deep guy, probably to his detriment.
getting screwed over like that fucked his mind up so muc it DID ruin his career.
yes he was going to WCW, yes Goldberg may still have injured him...
...but Bret going to WCW having left the WWF on a positive note would have been a different story, it would have been a different Bret.
...he gave his life to the WWF and was always someone they could rely on, to get turned on by someone or a company that you did that for will make you bitter, and it is hard to get over that.
people outside of the situation can judge, but honestly do not know what it must have felt like.
