TNA LockDown Results - 4/19/2008
the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Report by: Richard Gray of WrestlingNewsWorld.com
Danny Bonaduce vs. Eric Young
Dark Match
Winner - Eric Young
i dont give a crap
Suicide (c) vs. Black Machismo vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Consequences Creed vs. Kiyoshi
X Division Xscape Match For The X Championship
Winner & still X Division Champion – Suicide
Suicide was 'played' by Daniels (he did double duty). Sure the match was good and please to see the champ retain, nice seeing belts kept on champions for at least a few shows
ODB vs. Madison Rayne vs. Daffney vs. Sojo Bolt
Six Sides Of Steel: Queen Of The Cage Match
Winner – ODB
do not give a crap
The Motor City Machineguns (c) vs. No Limit vs. LAX
Six Sides Of Steel:
New Japan Jr. Tag Team Title Match
Winners & still New Japan Jr. Tag Team Champions - The Motor City Machineguns
the MCM's are basically the best tag team on TV, they are cool and fucking class in the ring, glad to see them retain
Abyss vs. Matt Morgan
Six Sides Of Steel:
Doomsday Chamber Of Blood
Winner - Matt Morgan
the only thing of interest is that Stevie Richards showed up and 'turned on Abyss. other than that, i dont give a crap
Awesome Kong (c) vs. Angelina Love vs. Taylor Wilde
Six Sides Of Steel:
TNA Knockouts Women's Championship
Winner & new TNA Knockout Women's Champion - Angelina Love
I think Love has come along way and this could be what the divison needs, these 2 could have a good series of matches
Beer Money, Inc. (c) vs. Team 3D (c)
Six Sides Of Steel:
Philly Street Fight - Title vs. Title
Winners & new TNA Tag Team Champions - Team 3D
Im not sure, i hear the match was good, and brutal. but i thought maybe Beer Money should have 'put over'. TNA is relying on oldies way way to much. Dudleys are OK, but they have been done to death and are not going to bring anything new.
I hear they are making a HUGE announcement on Impact. Maybe retiring? In which case, they should have put the new guys over in the big match
Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Booker T, Scott Steiner, & Kevin Nash) vs. Team Jarrett (Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, & Christopher Daniels)
Six Sides Of Steel:
Lethal Lockdown Match
Winners - Team Jarrett
Jarretts team wins, ok. but Jarret looks like he is going to turn, but doesnt? Not sure im interested. AJ gets the pin on Booker. I would have liked to see Angle do the job. Booker losses way to much for this to mean much
Sting (c) vs. Mick Foley
Six Sides Of Steel:
TNA Championship Match
Winner & new TNA Champion - Mick Foley
holly crap! Foley is a WORLD CHAMPION. A guy that is fat, out of shape and is WAY WAY past his prime???
Fuck TNA...what are they doing? Sting and now Foley? 2 guys that are on the verge of retirement...hell Foley WAS retired.
TNA has amazing talent, but they do not use them? Why the fuck not?
Is Foley going to give up the belt? I hope so. Have AJ/Daniels/Joe or even Lashley win it.
If Foley keeps it, how active can he be? Maybe every few PPVs he could really 'go'...but as THE FACE of the WWE alternative? Its a fucking joke.
Foley - WWE made him a huge star, he left his best in the WWE ring and now he is being treated like the future of TNA when he is basically done as a wrestler?

After the match the lights go out as Team Jarrett stands in the ring. Music plays and here comes Bobby Lashley. Lashley looks to the ring and the lights go back out. We're backstage with Lauren as they're having bad production problems. Lashley's music is playing over the backstage segment with Sting.
INTERESTING. Lashley would have been main eventing WM by now had he stayed in the WWE, he could be a good asset if he can start working the mic
