Well here we are again. Another episode of Impact, and hoenstly, I was excited to watch it tonight. I normally DVR it and just watch it later on in the week or at the beginning of next week....however, this week, with Angle vs. Nigel(Desmond Wolf), I was excited to see what was happening. The, when you add the fact that Hogan is joining TNA....well, I had to be a 12yr old again, and watch it.
I'll be honest with ya....the Hogan thing pissed me off. I'm glad that he's part of TNA....but he never explained how he'll be a part of TNA. He called Dixie Carter his business partner. Not sure what that means....then made a comment about getting back in the ring....again, not sure what that means....what I do know is....Eric Bischoff was there, and even announced Hogan. Pretty insane. I was really hoping for Hogan to be on Impact....and for him to explain what was happening....instead, I'm left confused for another week....but, TNA is smart because I know I'll tune in next week for sure.
Angle vs. Wolf....badass. They're really pushing Wolf, which is awesome to me. He has a vicious clothesline that he uses, and when he hit it on Angle, the referee ended the match, saying that Angle was out and couldn't move. Bravo to Angle for working with the younger talent and pushing them. Hey Undertaker, take notes!
Team 3D vs. The Motor City Machine Guns was awesome. Chris Sabin took a hard "rock bottom" like move, and landed on his head. Trainers came out, Shelley kept the match going....not sure it if was real or if it's a work. Maybe they're going to break up the machine guns? I'd like to see them both back in the X Division....but would be sad to see them break up. They're super awesome together. Them vs. London and Kendrick would be GOLD!
The world title scene is pretty badass right now. Styles, Daniels and Joe are legends, and they're still in the early parts of their careers. They don't need a lot of hype because IT'S STYLES, DANIELS AND JOE! Everyone knows that no matter how the feud goes, the match itself will be one of the best things you've ever seen. I'm wondering if the person attacking Styles is Daniels, or if it's someone else that they're bringing in to TNA.
Kevin Nash vs. Eric Young has me so excited....and it's only because of the storyline. Kevin Nash was the heel, and he was punked out by Eric Young. I love it. Nash still looks like a badass heel, but Eric Young has the Legends title, and looks like such an evil heel. I fucking love it. Eric Young wants to change the name of the Legends title to the Global Title....and he'll only defend it when he's not in the United States, and he'll only defend it against people who aren't American....why he says...."because you Americans don't deserve me as your champion".....FUCKING AWESOME! Eric Young is THE MAN! I love how they had Bobby Lashley basically whoop his ass, using his size advantage....then, Steiner gets involved and attacks Lashley (who cares about that feud)....but after it's all done with, Eric Young makes a big deal about how he's proud of himself for giving Bobby Lashley his first loss in TNA....hahahaha! Such an awesome heel move.
All in all....TNA was solid once again. They've got something really special over there....I really hope they don't screw it up. I've read rumors that Hogan and Flair are going to be in TNA full time....if they're not wrestling there, then I'll be alright with it....if they are wrestling....then LORD HELP US ALL!
And in one last bit of rumors....I heard that Stone Cold Steve Austin might be going to TNA....didn't say if it'll be a full time deal, or making special appearances.....personally, I don't buy it....and I only say that because Austin has a great relationship with Vince and the WWE. I can't see him going to the competition. Not at this point in his career.
