*The scene opens up with the AWA Intercontinental Champion sitting on a bench backstage. He has his hands clasped as he wears his title around his waist. Wearing a "Future Quadruple Undisputed World Champion" T-shirt and a pair of khakis. He shakes his head and stands up. As Jordan stands up, Chris Sonnier appears in the shot.*
Sonnier: "Ready for the interview."
*Jordan nods as Sonnier picks up his microphone and turns to the camera.*
Sonnier: "Folks, I'm standing here with AWA Intercontinental Champion Anthony Jordan just a day before he puts his title on the line at Battle of Champions III!"
*Sonnier turns to Jordan.*
Sonnier: "How do you feel about the match?"
Jordan: "In a pure wrestling match, I feel great about facing Jake Andrews. My technical abilities well beyond anything his could be. I feel stronger and quicker than he is. I am a superior physical specimen with more wrestling knowledge. I am regarded as the favorite in this match as well I should be. I would feel great...if it were that simple."
*Jordan shakes his head and turns to the camera.*
Jordan: "But there are a lot of circumstances around this match that are not great. People try to ignore it or laugh it off, but I maintain that Timmy Draven is, at the very least, entertaining the thought of working his boy into my match or giving him a title shot to use once a new Undisputed Champion is crowned. It is hard to give Jake Andrews all my focus knowing that I may have another match after I beat him."
Sonnier: "Most people regard that as a ridiculous notion. No one is taking that possibility seriously."
*Jordan looks down at Sonnier.*
Jordan: "Just like no one thought the good and noble Jake Andrews would turn on the AWA last fall. No one, but me! I spent weeks telling everyone that Andrews was ripe for the picking for Project Syndicate, but everyone laughed. Then he turned and everyone walked around saying, 'I never saw it coming.' I saw it coming a mile away. I know more about this business and human nature than anyone else. I know what greed and selfishness can do to men. Andrews was tempted last fall, and the Dravens are tempted now. Will they act on it? I have no idea, but I can tell you that I have lost a lot of sleep thinking about it."
*Sonnier nods.*
Sonnier: "Perhaps your skeptics will be proven wrong again. Anyway, you spoke of other circumstances weighing you down. Will you elaborate?"
Jordan: "Fine. Everyone know that Michael is gone, and that is hard enough. When a friend ditches you without talking to you, it hurts. I view it as an indictment on the person that I am. Apparently I was not good enough to keep him around. That feeling of inadequacy is awful. I hate it, and it makes it harder to function. I do not doubt myself as a wrestler, but I am doubting myself as a friend. It is extra stress I do not need."
*Jordan sighs.*
Jordan: "And Chantelle decided to up and leave for whatever reason she cooked up this time. It is more stress. I finally find someone, and she has all sorts of hang ups and issues. I want to help her, but she refuses to let me. Once again, more stress on me and time wasted. Want a recap, Chris?"
*Before Sonnier can reply, Jordan recaps.*
Jordan: "I have a match all the while wondering if the owner and his little puppet will destroy it and render it meaningless by giving in to greed. While preparing for said match, I am coping with the loss of my best friend and girlfriend. I am all alone, and that is a very bad thing."
Sonnier: "I can see how. You..."
*Jordan cuts Sonnier off.*
Jordan: "For Andrews."
Sonnier: "Come again?"
Jordan: "I realize that I am all I got. No one has my back in terms of wrestling or in terms of everyday life. That causes me to dig down deep and find more strength than I even knew I had. Tomorrow I am not wrestling to beat Jake Andrews. I am not wrestling for the Undisputed World Title, not completely. I am summoning all my strength and skills to put on a display of talent and power that will show the world that Anthony Jordan is just fine and better than ever. It will make the people who want to prey on me while I am this stressed think again. At Battle of Champions, I will establish myself as the alpha male of the AWA."
Sonnier: "You sound determined."
Jordan: "So freaking determined! Yeah yeah! The beating I will issue out to Jake Andrews will be more than enough to scare those vultures in the Draven family away, make Michael realize that he lost the best thing about his life, and show Chantelle than I am more than good enough to cover all her needs."
Sonnier: "Are you saying that you cannot be stopped?"
Jordan: "That is exactly what I am saying. Jake Andrews, bring all your tricks and deceptions. Cheat to the point where you can say that you did everything you could. That is bound to extend the match another five minutes or so. You may think your life is hard right now, but we both know that you could never endure what I am facing right now. What has not killed me has only made me stronger, and that is quite unfortunate for you."
*Jordan looks into the camera.*
Jordan: "Be ready, Jake! 'The Role Model' is coming to take your title!"
*Jordan walks away as the scene ends.*
