it wasn't, me and the misses go to the huge Asda/Walmart in Watford all the time.
i do myself though because i really try and support small local suppliers but it is not easy as there are hardly any, so i end up in some massive supermarket.
oh well.

Lu, I try extremely hard to support our local ma and pop stores. As much as I can, I buy from them....unfortunately, in certain situations, you're saving a lot of money by shopping at a Walmart or Home Depot....for the most part though, I shop a lot at local stores to help keep them in business. I think more people should.

There are tons of ma and pop in my area. but as for food stores....only the big chains can support my eating habits.... *rolls eyes*
There arent any mom and pop grocery stores but... I shop at the local chain.
I LOATHE WAL-MART and NEVER go in there! I buy everything else from local places. Going out to grab a bite? I pick the local deli instead of McDonalds....or to sit down, I pick a local pub/resteraunt and ignore the Deny's/Perkins/Applebees

im the smallest tiniest local market in all of COEBURN VA!!! but yeah i feel the same way lets keep the local shit a happening, i support our only locally owned pizza place, "Big Boys", not a huge variety on the menu but the pineapple pizza and philly-steak and cheese (with mustard, cheese, green peppers, steak...real steak, mushrooms, and grilled onions) is the fucking shiz!

shit where i am the only big stores are KMart and Wal Mart, i shop at K but for my food i go to Farm Fresh or Food Lion, and there are a shitload of 7 elevens, hotels and taco bells ((no really, and it rhymed))

Don't get me wrong. I still shop at Walmart, and I eat fast food sometimes(not as much as I used to) and I do go eat dinner at places like Apple Bee's, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays, etc....but I also go to our local places. There is a little diner that only serves breakfast. It's called Jackies, and their breakfast menu is incredible. Very affordable, and you get a huge amount. It's a great place. I love to help out small local shops, but I also shop/eat at other places....I give my finances to both.

I eat at golden corral, captain georges seafood resturant, this one bar called Beach Pub, on special occasions I'll go to Olive Garden. the pizza joints here are so generic, yeah we got pizza Hut, dominoes and Lil Caesars, but then we got Cal's, Sal's, and Palace O' Pizza,never at applebees,not after what happened
