*The evening began with a huge Hardcore Match. This match had huge stakes. If AJ won, he was going to take the Hardcore Title and GIVE it to someone else. If James Lucas won, he not only kept his title, but he would also be keeping AJ from getting ANY title shots for the entire year. That would mean that Anthony Jordan would not be allowed any title shots in 2010.
As the match was about to begin, MJ Windsor came walking out with Khris Heaven and The Bronx Brothers. Right behind them was Cash Quarters, Vangoric, The Chaos World Heavyweight Champion The Enforcer and his High Roller partner Frankie Rotten. The ring was surrounded by Timothy Dravens hired men. Frankie Rotten grabbed a couple of chairs, a garbage can, the ring bell, a kendo stick and the sledgehammer. They were all slid in the ring. To everyones surprise, James Lucas kicked them out of the ring. James turned around and looked at Anthony Jordan. Both men locked up in the center of the ring and the match was underway.
Both men were impressive. That needs to be stated right off the bat. These two men were both amazing. They gave the fans something special inside that ring. The match went back and forth. One second Anthony Jordan would have control of the match and the next second James Lucas did. The match continued to go like this for a good 20 minutes. Both men hit a massive amount of their moves. At one point, Anthony Jordan had the Idolizer locked in. James Lucas was in a lot of pain and at times, looking like he might need to tap out, but he never did. Instead, he ended up flipping over, getting out of the move, James Lucas grabbed AJs legs and locked in an STF. Jordan was in pain. He looked like he might tap out, but he ended up reaching the ropes.
At another point in the match, James Lucas went for his finisher, the worlds deadliest finisher, but AJ reversed the move and hit Rectitude. AJ went for the cover but James Lucas kicked out at two. At another point in the match, AJ went for the Perfect Example, but James Lucas got out of the move and quickly hit the worlds deadliest set up finisher. James Lucas went for the pin but AJ kicked out at two as well. The fans were all on their feet. They loved the match. Both men were putting everything they had on the line.
You could tell that both men were starting to get desperate to win the match. At one point, AJ hit The Perfect Example and went for the pin. He almost won the match at this point but James Lucas just kicked out before the referee made the three count. At another point in the match, James Lucas hit the worlds deadliest finisher and made the cover. Just like when AJ hit his finisher, just as the referee was about to make the three count, AJ kicked out. James Lucas looked shocked. He didn’t know what was left to do. MJ Windsor slid a chair in the ring, but James declined the chair. He told MJ Windsor that he wanted to do this without using weapons.
The match continued on and was now somewhere near the 35 minute mark. Both men were exhausted. Both men had hit their finishers and set up moves. They had used submission moves, but nothing had helped them pick up the win. At one point, James Lucas had AJ sitting on the ropes in the corner. James Lucas climbed up and grabbed AJ. It looked like he was going to go for a suplex off the top ropes but AJ came back with a headbutt to the face. James Lucas fell off the ropes. AJ got on the top of the ropes and jumped off hitting a huge shooting star press. AJ hooked the leg. The referee dropped down to make the count. Just as the referee was about to make the three count, James Lucas barely kicked out. The fans were going insane. They couldn’t believe the match they were getting to see. AJ’s eyes showed how disappointed he was that he couldn’t pick up the win. AJ grabbed James Lucas and lifted him up….AJ went for The Perfect Example once again, but James Lucas reversed it and hit The Worlds Deadliest Finisher. James Lucas made the cover again, but right before the three count, AJ kicked out. All of Timothy Dravens men on the outside of the ring were in shock.
Finally, the match was at 45 minutes. James Lucas and AJ were still going back and forth. AJ grabbed James Lucas and placed him on the top ropes. AJ climbed up and started to punch James Lucas in the face. AJ looked like he was about to set up The Jordan Neckbreaker…..but suddenly, James Lucas grabbed AJ and hit The Worlds Deadliest Rare Finisher. AJ was down. James Lucas jumped on top of AJ and hooked the leg. The referee dropped down and made the count…..ONE…TWO…THREE ! ! ! !
The fans were all amazed. They had just seen an incredible match. They couldn’t believe it. Both men were laying there in the center of the ring. MJ Windsor and Khris Heaven entered the ring to help their fellow New Connection family member. James Lucas took his Hardcore Title and lifted it high in the air. Ripper came out to look after his friend. AJ finally sat up. Reality started to kick in. He was not going to get any title shots for the entire 2010 year. James Lucas and Anthony Jordan both looked at one another. I don’t know if it was breaking character or not, but both men nodded at each other. Everyone knew that it was out of respect. No matter what the outcome was, these two men had just put on one hell of a match.*
*Commercial Break*
*The next match was a non title match where MJ Windsor and Khris Heaven would take on Ripper in a 2 on 1 match. This match started out well, but by the end of it, all hell would break loose. Ripper came out ready to destroy anyone in his path. Ripper started to take control over the match, but the tide changed when Khris Heaven hit a huge low blow that dropped Ripper to his knees. MJ grabbed Ripper by the face and started screaming at him. MJ went for a huge punch to the face, but Ripper reached up a grabbed MJ right by the balls. MJ began screaming. Khris Heaven came running at Ripper, but Ripper hit a low blow on her as well. Khris Heaven dropped. Ripper lifted MJ up in the air and went for a huge backbreaker, but MJ got out of the move. MJ went for a huge clothesline, but Ripper ducked it and planted a big boot right to MJ’s face. MJ fell out of the ring. Ripper turned around, grabbed Khris Heaven and hit Monster. Ripper placed a foot on her and picked up the win.
This is where things got crazy. From the back, James Lucas, The Enforcer, and Frankie Rotten all came running out and started to attack Ripper. The fans all cheered as Anthony Jordan, Hardcore Fred, and Whitey Ford all came running out as well. They slid in the ring and suddenly we had a huge brawl. MJ was back in the ring brawling with Ripper. James Lucas and Anthony Jordan were brawling back and forth. The Enforcer was doing battle with Hardcore Fred, and Frankie Rotten and Whitey Ford were also doing battle. All hell was breaking lose. Suddenly, Kristin Draven came out from the back.
Kristin Draven announced that she had made a decision about the next PPV. Kristin Draven announced that both Anthony Jordan AND Ripper would be moving on as Battle Royal winners, and that meant there were already three winners, so there would not be a third Battle Royal. Timothy Draven came out next screaming at his wife. Timothy Draven said that he had already made up his mind as to what was happening with the Battle Royal. He said that being that neither man won the Battle Royal, neither one were going to win, and in the Battle Royal later on, the last two would move on. Kristin Draven continued screaming at her husband telling him it would be over her dead body.
“MONEY MONEY 2020” BLASTED. The fans jumped to their feet. From the back, all five Board members, The Ringmaster, The Superstar Sheldon Reese, Xander Jaxon, Cage McMichaels, and Christian Troy were all standing on the stage. The Superstar Sheldon Reese and The Ringmaster both had microphones. The Ringmaster said he was sick and tired of seeing his son and his daughter in-law battle back and forth. He said that something needed to be done because he refused to see his family fall apart because of “the business”….Sheldon Reese got on the microphone and made a huge shocking announcement. As of RIGHT NOW….both Timothy Draven AND Kristin Draven WERE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
Timothy Draven and Kristin Draven were both shocked. Sheldon Reese told everyone that until further notice, The Board will make all decisions regarding Anarchy and Chaos and the PPVs. Sheldon Reese said speaking of the PPV, he had a huge announcement to make. At New Beginnings, live on PPV, January 31st, 2010, we were going to see two huge matches. Two huge matches that were brand new to the AWA. Two matches that had never happened before. The first match was to be called a STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN MATCH. The competitors would be Jake Andrews, Chris Holtz, Slam II, Kevin Kash, and Lucius Bird….all from Anarchy…..and from Chaos…..Crazy Donnie, Bo Benjamins, and Extreme Monsta. Sheldon Reese said that there could be two more slots available. If no one stepped up and claimed one of them, they would be filled in at the PPV….Sheldon Reese then announced how the match worked.
Above the ring would be wires that formed an X (think Ultimate X)….on top of the “X” would be a 5x5 platform. Hanging above that would be a briefcase. Inside this briefcase would be an open contract. This contract would give the winner a couple of options. Either the winner could get a title shot against anyone on their brand….or, the winner could switch brands and get a title shot on the other brand, meaning they would be switching brands for good. The fans all cheered. Sheldon Reese said that this match would be the first of many. Sheldon Reese told everyone that the winner of the STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN match would have until the end of 2010 to cash in their title shot.
Next, The Ringmaster took the microphone and said that the other match at the PPV would be huge, and would have huge stipulations to it. The main event would be a 4 on 4 match and it would be INSIDE THE TERROR DOME! Team New Connection would be the AWA Undisputed World Champion MJ Windsor, the AWA Hardcore Champion James Lucas, The Chaos Heavyweight Champion The Enforcer and Frankie Rotten taking on Team USCW, which would be consist of Ripper, Anthony Jordan, Hardcore Fred, and the Chaos Extreme PPV Champion Whitey Ford. The Ringmaster announced that no title would be safe in this match. Anarchy wrestlers could win Anarchy titles….If Ripper pinned either MJ Windsor or James Lucas, he would become the new champion. Being that Anthony Jordan is not allowed any title shots for the entire 2010 year, if Anthony Jordan were to pin someone from the Anarchy brand, The Board would make the Anti-D Tag Team Championships legitimate titles in the AWA. Ripper and Anthony Jordan both looked happy about this idea. The Ringmaster then announced that if MJ Windsor or James Lucas pinned either Ripper or Anthony Jordan, they would win the Anti-D tag team championships and turn them into the New Connection Tag Team Championships.
The Ringmaster also announced that if Hardcore Fred or Whitey Ford were to pin The Enforcer, he would lose his title….but if Whitey Ford were to be pinned by The Enforcer or Frankie Rotten, then Whitey Ford would lose his Extreme PPV Championship. The Ringmaster explained that there will be two pinfalls. One pinfall by an Anarchy Team, and one pinfall by a Chaos Team, meaning there was a good chance that titles would change on both brands….in one match.
Sheldon Reese took the microphone back and told everyone that New Beginnings would be exactly what the name of the PPV said….it would be New Beginnings for everyone. It would be New Beginnings for the AWA. Sheldon Reese told everyone that from here on out, things would be done fairly. No more having a battle of The Dravens on air. No more chaotic messes. Instead, the AWA would move forward and continue kicking ass and giving the fans the best wrestling in the world. Anarchy went off the air with The New Connection and Team USCW both looking at each other, knowing that the next few weeks would be insane.*
