You kids are in for a treat while you vets don't need to get used to this as I doubt I'll have this kind of free time every week. With that out of the way, enjoy the return of the Momentum Chart (appearing off and on since 2004, I think)! Here's how it works, I look at the Anarchy card and rate those on it (most Chaos wrestlers exempted for obvious reasons). The Momentum Chart juxtaposes your performance this week versus your performance last week and is not an absolute value judgment (i.e. being "DOWN" this week doesn't mean you suck. Transversely, being "UP" doesn't guarantee you a spot in the AWA Hall of Fame). If your grade bothers you in any way, take solace in the fact that this isn't official. I have no say in how matches are decided (view last week, if you think I'm bs'ing you), so this is just one, unofficial opinion. I obviously don't grade myself because what'd be the point?
Okay, big, long explanation out of the way since I haven't done this in a year or so. Let's go!
AWA Undisputed Champion
MJ Windsor - NEUTRAL Didn't do anything to raise his stock and almost went down this week because he created some interesting buzz last week, but I felt he was solid enough to hold serve. Luke, at this point, there's hardly any useful evaluation of your character you'll get out of me.
AWA Hardcore Champion
James Lucas - DOWN A drop-off was expected and isn't the worst thing in the world after a very controversial (at least to me...damn clean win) and eyebrow-raising win. Though I think a young wrestler needs to constantly work to keep his steam going, given his opposition this week, can't be too hard on him.
Whitey Ford - BIG UP You know I love you, my fellow USCW brother. While I know you're likely a part-timer, you rock it while you're here. Funny and original. I missed you!
Gregory "Ripper" Kennedy - NEUTRAL Another underwhelming match this week, so I won't hold it against you. I don't count your work with me last week against you for this week because I think you were working with me more for my match than for yours. I hope you can rock like last week after the 25th Anarchy, so we can rule the PPV. In some OOC recognition, thanks for your help and support this week.
Jake Andrews - DOWN Feels like you took a step back this week, but I know you're capable of turning it back on.
Slam II - NEUTRAL Wasn't blown away, but I'm happy to see consistent work from you. Since you used to look up to me, I'll tell you the secret to my success was/is consistency. I was/am seldom thought to be the best, but when you constantly work, you get better and look better. I believe it worked to my favor that a lot of guys would burn brighter for short periods of time, then would burn out. It's easier to toss in a dash of brilliance in average to above-average work than to try to be brilliant with every single RP. Many tried the latter, and they're all gone now.
Chris Holtz - DOWN Hate that I flaked with our feud (I honestly didn't know the 2nd match was set). Will feel like total shit if I killed your interest/drive.
Lucius Bird - UP Good work at making a name for yourself. However, after reading a little more from you today, I fear your tales could be too fantastic. We're pretty liberal when it comes to realism (just look at what Ripper and I do), but it is a little more strict for more serious (and darker) work. I don't mean in terms of punishment, but Bird's life becomes too grandiose, I fear it would hurt everyone else's suspension of disbelief. It'd be unfair to you because I feel you are a good writer. I personally think you are just building Bird and will level him off once he gets to the arena and interacts with the crew more, but on the chance you weren't, I wanted to offer that advice, so AWA doesn't lose grip on a possibly great character.
