Luke already sent a message to those involved, but I think this should be brought up anyways, just to see where people stand on the issues.
We all know you can attack people in roleplays. Thats allowed, to an extent. But what about using other peoples characters to attack someone else? To me, thats going just a little too far. It should be up to the handler whether or not they want to attack, and their job to write it out as they see it.
I had no intention of beating down MJW and Khris Heaven...actually, I was working to build up tension between those involved.
Its just a roleplay, I'm not upset about it. I just wanted to make it clear that next time someone would like to use my character to do an attack, at least consult me first.

Unless you really know the guy and know he'd be okay with it, you should always seek permission when using another's character unless it's something minor (like a chance meeting where the other character listens to what yours has to say).

I don't think having a tool box tossed in your face when you're not expecting it makes you look helpless. Doing that and springing a surprise attack would even floor the Big Show.

Over and over again? And over the top? Really, that was pretty minor and if its not to your liking I don't mind not doing it. From how I've always done things, any attack is allowed as long as it doesnt' completely destroy the character or have him act out of character. I thought I did a good job and showing Lucas trying to get back up and never really being down and out...as with the fast count The Freak did. Now if I had just ran up on you, beat the living daylights out of you and left you in a blood, broken, crying mess, that would be over the top. Not that a straightforward attack is wrong...ugh. Its hard to explain. I expected a retaliation attack on Whitey, and though I haven't read it yet, I'm sure its fine. I don't mind getting beaten up in a roleplay...it makes it a little more real, because none of the characters here should be seen as superhuman. |
